If I were to float a theory as to the reason why, I would assume that Pax probably had a deal set up with the Suns for Amare and Reinsdork nixed it. Pax probably started screaming and packing his bags like he just found his wiz in the bed with another man. "Im out of here!!"

What's up with Reinsdorf and Deng?? They undercovers or something? He wont trade that fool for nothing, and old boy is not a baller. Something is not right with those two.

The sad thing in the end was the fact that they were always looking to replace Curry.

This isn't confirmed in any way.

As to Paxson he had a very good team with oodles of cap space and assets and he goes and blows his wad on Ben Wallace and then refuses to gamble on Kobe and then Gasol - refused to recycle PJ Browns large expiring - traded Chandler for trash and then let JR Smith go for even worse.

The guy set himself and the team up for a chance to become an elite team and when the moment came to take the next step he absolutely fell FLAT ON HIS FACE.

It doesn't help that ownership are idiots for I'm sure they played a part in what he could not be allowed to do - but - the chance was there to build an elite team - and he plain screwed it up.

Regardless, I could care less about Paxson (or Skiles) they're both bums IMO and the only reason either are "In our Knicks lives/memories" is because Isiah Thomas is an IDIOT.

Edit: TO ADD: That Tyrus/Kyphra for Aldridge trade was HILARIOUSLY terrible. As was selecting Noah with our swapped pick when Chandler is actually the BETTER PLAYER. So, well, that was good ish for us Knick fans, watching him DESTROY those picks we gave up for Curry's fat ass.

bad owners make bad GM's.
Krause was pretty darn good if Rreinsdorf left him alone.

Teams been screwed up for a long time.

WHat is up with Deng? Dude was a borderline allstar 2 years ago and now looks like a scrub and he is only like 26-27 years old.

started off great...then got nervous and was scared to pull the trigger.

reinsdorf forced paxson to sign ben wallace that year they had cap space...and the $72 mil to deng is ridiculous.

My sources have told me about Deng. I don't know a lot about his situation but I've heard that during his contract negotiations he got really caught up in the business side of things and has let that take over the basketball side. He and used to(and to a point still is) be the hardest working guy on the team. He still works hard but apparently has become distracted. I don't know that for sure, but that's what I hear through my grapevine.
I just hope that people will like me

He made some poor moves, but in most cases, where he was drafting it would have been really ballsy to take anyone else.

Almost has too many good young parts. Should have been able to pull the trigger on a deal for Gasol or even Kobe.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
