I like it for the Bobcats. Brown and Morrison don't look like they'll ever be in a rotation. VladRad isn't great, but he can give you some minutes off the bench.

bynum goes down and they pick up a fellow who doesnt play d well... not suggesting this move was designed for that injury. if a change of env helps AM, this could be another trade where the lakers come out looking good

Phil didn't like Radmanovich (called him a "space cadet") and LB didn't like Ammo.

I wouldn't be surprised if Phil gets Ammo straightened out.

Me too. Watch Adam Morrison get himself straightened out now. I think he'll play well for the Lakers. And Shannon Brown can ball a little too. Lakers gave up next to nothing for two young players with promise - losing Vlad isn't going to hurt them. He wasn't a major cog there. Another good trade for the Lakeshow.

Morrison is cut from the same cloth as Phil. Morrison loves to debate and he's very similiar to Phil in a lot of ways....

Shannon Brown is also the same type of guard Phil has always carried on his teams.

Rad is the same type of nobody drone that Larry likes. He'll shoot and run the floor. Boooooo.

I'm surprised Larry didn't try to make a deal for Steve Francis...

I think Larry ask for it, but they said that nobody can find a guy with this name in NBA.

It surprises me that Morrison is having so much trouble in the NBA. The dude was money in college and now cannot seem to find the bucket. It must be a confidence thing. I agree that he has a great chance to develop in L.A. Workign with Kobe and Phil should toughen him up and hopefully he can rise up.

Must be LB's fault then. He specializes in destroying a player's confidence, and stealing his joy.

Sometimes a change of scenery is all it takes to get certain players going again. Morrison's no Larry Bird, those comparisons were never fair - let's be honest, but I think he has enough offensive ability to eventually be successful in this league. Playing meaningful games alongside a real gamer like Kobe and for a top coach in Phil Jackson should bring out the best in him. I actually think Shannon Brown's a more than decent player himself, more than just some throw in. This guy was a damn good player for Michigan State in a very effective 3-way attack featuring himself, Paul Davis and Maurice Ager. Kid's got decent size & he can score and distribute. He can play. Very good trade for the Lakers. They got younger and better...

I think Morris Almond could be another guy like Morrison that could really benefit from a change a scenery - they're similar players, both enjoying a ton of success in college from an offensive standpoint before failing initially in the NBA. Almond never got a fair shot under Jerry Sloan in Utah almost right from the start - Sloan was critical of this kid right off the bat saying he was disappointed that Almond "wasn't giving enough effort and playing hard enough," odd comments considering I distinctly remember reading Almond saying something like, "I'd rather score 1 point in an NBA game than 100 points in a D-league game" after one of his 50 pt. outbursts for the Flash. I have a hard time believing this kid wasn't willing to work hard enough to stay in the NBA. Utah being stacked with wings and then the Jazz ultimately deciding not to pick up his contract probably really hurt his confidence as well. I think Almond would flourish here for the Knicks playing for an offensive coach like D'Antoni as well as benefiting greatly from learning how to succeed at his position working with Allan Houston. Working with Houston everyday in the gym would be huge for Almond. They have almost identical body types & games already - Houston could really help get this kid to that next level. This guy has great tools for the 2-guard position - natural scorer/excellent shooter which is the number 1 thing you want from your 2--gimmie a SG that can shoot the ball--, great height/build at 6'6", 215 lbs. and has show the ability to post up, rebound and get to the FT line. Seems like a real good kid from every interview and clip I ever seen of him, which makes Sloan's quick dismissal of this kid all the more puzzling... This kid can have a big impact provided he's given an opportunity to play and grow and get more than 5 mins. every couple of weeks. I hope the Knicks seriously consider this kid - we're gonna need to come up with a two guard somewhere along the way here.

I would really like it if Walsh picked up Almond for that extra second round pick we got from Denver. I agree that he has the tools to be a good player. We need a young SG to develop.

And just for the record, how much stock can you really put in Jerry Sloan's opinion on this kid Almond anyway? No doubt he's got the track record and the experience on his side but some of the comments and decisions made by guys like Jerry Sloan, Larry Brown, Don Nelson the past few years - I tell ya, it kinda makes you think that the modern NBA might really be passing some of these guys by. These guys' opinions might very well carry too much weight at this point. Sloan undoubtedly going to Jazz ownership and telling them that Almond's not a player and to not bring him back, Nelson at constant odds with his GM & a lot of his younger talent in GS, Brown causing all of the problems he did here with us, etc... Sloan failed to embrace Almond and buried him - does that mean he can't be a pro? Larry Brown calls Nate "delusional" and has had problems with Ray Felton - does that mean these guys aren't players?? I don't buy it. Grain of salt with some of these older stubborn coaches and their decision-making already as far as I'm concerned...

Bobcats have had more roster changes than any other team. Typical larry!

Morrison hurt his knee and is not the same. Phil Jax will take this kid and work him next year. He got an asset to cultivate for the next few years.

This is why the lakes, even when making a title run are great. they are thinking ahead.

morrison won't be a star, but he can get some of that Triangle goodness!

For the love of god please don't remind me of such things I have enough indigestion as it is.

I wouldn't worry about Radman he's good for those types of games every so often and then turns back into the trash can that he is. I still laugh at him turning down that gigantic Sonics offer...what was it.. 42M over 5 years? Only to Sprewell himself and have to "settle" for the LAL mid-level. What a bum.
