He should never shoot, I mean like ever! On offense it's like we're playing 4 on 5, this can't continue earth to D'antoni Jeffries is not Diaw and never ever will be.

We have no one else. If we start Lee-Harrington-Chandler then we have no bench. Jeffries comes in off the bench and screws it up then.

It's just something we will have to live with during this rebuilding process. We're blessed to be in a playoff hunt all things considered.

We're rebuilding. You don't view this roster and say "Oh if only we had ____ we'd be good." for that's not the point. It's amazing we're competing as is, but, that's not the big picture. You don't tweak this roster to win today. You just don't.

He is the least of our problems, which says a lot.

So we don't have to see Jefferies. Malik atleast can hit the jumper with more consistency and Malik also is more physical with opposing bigs. He rotates on defense better than most on the team.

Maybe the Knicks should keep Jefferies in the starting lineup and have him shoot 20 time a game get his average up to 10 and the Knicks might be able to dump him on someone.

People forget so easily. You would quickly regret wishing that, thankfully it won't happen.

2 losses to two of the best teams in the league, and we get the 'can't start Jeffries' thread. You have noticed our record got better since he came back, right? And that we've been playing defense lately? We may not be very good, but we're flat out worse without Jeffries. Yes, he can't shoot for crap, but he is our only good defender.

I agree even if you did not say it - overreaction to losing to two of the top teams in the league - and suddenly everything is trash and everyone sucks.

Meh....

We're a rebuilding team, who subtracted Isiah's four superstar cornerstone future HOF players (Zach,Craw,Marbs,Curry), and somehow we're still in the playoff hunt, had just won 8 of 11 games... but yet it all sucks, no FA is coming in 2010, we're doomed, contract the franchise, delete all knick forums, etc.

Oh...LOL.

I am proud of this team for not losing by 45 tonight, something Isiah's "talent filled" teams would have most certainly done.

As a fan I want my team to win every night but I'm realistic, having JJ1 in the starting lineup just doesn't make sense, he hardly rebounds, doesn't block shots and can't throw a marble in the ocean. I say start the Wilson or Fugazy if we are serious about making the playoffs even though I don't know what's the point of making it. We need to draft really well this year so is one series in playoffs really worth giving up a higher draft pick?? Thinking this way maybe JJ1 should start and play 48m a game for the rest of the season.
