The bikini-clad babes of the Hawaiian Tropic Zone are bracing to be tossed out into the cold.

Owners of the so-called Hottest Place on Earth confirmed Tuesday that the risqué Times Square restaurant will close its doors Saturday for a lengthy renovation.

The news follows a rash of lawsuits by waitresses slamming the business as a "sexually hostile" zone, and one by Bronx beauty Melody Morales claiming she was refused a waitress job for being too "ghetto."

Jamie Galler, manager and senior executive vice president of the Hawaiian Tropic Zone, insisted the litigation has nothing to do with the decision to close.

"One has nothing to do with the other," Galler said. "The lawsuits are without merit. We're confident we will prevail."

Galler said the restaurant at Seventh Ave. and 49th St. is long overdue for a renovation.

"It's been two years and we've had close to a half-million people here. We're going to use the opportunity to spruce the place up a little bit," Galler said.

He said he expects the business to reopen May 1, but in a trimmed-down version of its old self.

Now a sprawling two-story eating, drinking and ogling destination, the place will reopen as a one-story bistro with the same menu and scantily clad servers.

While some managers will keep their jobs, most of the waitstaff will be forced to seek other work.

"A lot of them have different gigs - modeling, school," Galler said.

The mood at the normally jaunty joint was somber Tuesday as waitresses prepared to say aloha.

"Well, it's time to look for modeling gigs," said a long-legged redhead in a tight T-shirt and bikini bottom.

Her raven-haired colleague added that her pending unemployment was a good excuse to bail out of the hospitality industry.

"It's not my life," the waitress said. "I'm going back to school."
BlueSeats "I like anyone who can make Lebron cry. Melo seems to do it a lot."
