f Gallinari? Who is the brain scientist who made this pick? Who is responsible for butchering our pick? Are you watching the Nets whoever you are? David Lee and Lopez together couldve been a tandem for 10-12 years and you draft a gangly European? Is this Isiah's pick? He's a nice shooter--but who cares--we need a guy like Lopez DESPERATELY--we can always find another 6-10 sf but how are we going to get a high quality C? 2 High draft picks and we bypassed 2 really good C for soft 6-10 perimeter players--this is Channing Frye 2.

Gallinari is cleary not channing frye 2.

1-His range is better, and his shot(%) seems much better. That shot looks so sweet.
2-He has much quicker feet, and he has a better mental ability to respond to the game around him on defense
3-He can put the ball on the floor
4-More court vision
etc....
He clearly is less muscular but he is younger and although i don't think he has a great frame for putting on muscle, he can clearly put on more-and his muscle is less of an issue because of his foot speed(and projected position). He is probably also a lot less physical because of the back injury.

Brook Lopez - 22pts 12rebs 2 blocks. Now that's a meaningful 22-12.

Ryan Anderson had a nice game too with 19 pts and 7 boards,

I take those in the morning. I'd like to hear from the absolute incompetent beat writers who still write stories about Stephon Marbury--go find out the person[s] in the Knick organization who made this pick and why did they pass on Lopez?

Who cares if Gallinari has more range? Is the goal for the Knicks to shoot from 30 feet? How about players who can shoot from 3 feet rebound the ball and block shots--remember those types of players--like the kind that gave us success? We already had Chandler who was promising--it was another blunder even if he's a good player because we bypassed a better player in an area of need. Gallinari gets his shots so far because no one guards him.

The beat writers on the Knicks are TERRIBLE--go get a story of relevance----give me an insight to who drafted Gallinari and why--and who valued him over Lopez?

Im not stupid--I know we hired Dantoni before the draft so that shook the place up--they probably edged towards a player that fit his system but they clearly did NOT get the BPA and took a huge risk by going Euro at 6.

Im glad we are playing better but we still just don't get it and we havent for almost 10 years.

If you like them so much just go root for the Nets.

too early to call Gallo a bust, but i would sure rather have had Bayless, Gordon or Lopez. In that order.

Don't worry everyone. Briggs also said Chris Mihm shoulda been the first pick in the 2000 draft. That worked out reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal well.

Oh come on Marv, that's not fair buddy. It's not like I'm second guessing here.

that may go down as one of the weakest lotteries of all time, to be fair. marcus fizer went 4th. etan thomas was in the top 10 if i remember. mihm went 7th, right before our boy Jamal "longest tenured NBA player to never reach the playoffs" Craw. when kmart and mike miller are the best two players from a lottery, it's weak.

Gallo is a lights out shooter. Give him some time and he is going to get even better. Patience is required when developing young players. As for Lopez he is a nice player and would have fit in nicely. Gallo has something in his game that is going to make him a special player in the NBA.

The first time I ever posted about the Knicks was when I saw Ammare Stoudemire play in New Jersey 7 years ago--so please--I didnt even have a computer in 2000--I mean this site wasnt here dude. I like Chris Mihm and wanted to trade for him on the cheap from the Cavs a long time ago.

except for s hort time with mutumbo and curry this team has been C and it shows in the record. our only other attempt at a C was Jerome James. The Lakers get Gasol and Bynum we get Jerome James and Frye----thats the truth.
