What are the odds Diaw will be a Knick by the deadline? What would you give up to get him...that is if you like his game, think he would fit and make the team better

Larry got the BobCats playing well.

I don't know if he is really even available.

Eddy ain't going nowhere, and I don't think he wants Nate.

I hope the odds aren't good unless it includes Eddy and Jeffries and Diaw's contract expires before 2010, which I don't really want to look on the internet.

I know MJ isn't the best exec in the world -- but even I don't see him taking Jeffries, who basically does what Diaw does but Diaw is much better at it and can actually make a layup.

I'd rather have Raja Bell.

All you have to do is look at Diaw's contract to know he won't be a Knick.

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.

Due to New York and Charlotte being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Charlotte had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

New York Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: -14.0 ppg, -3.5 rpg, and -2.9 apg.
Incoming Players
Raja Bell
6-5 SG from Florida International
9.6 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.3 apg in 32.4 minutes
Boris Diaw
6-8 SF / PF from France (Foreign)
8.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.1 apg in 24.4 minutes

Outgoing Players
Nate Robinson
5-9 PG from Washington
15.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.5 apg in 28.2 minutes
Anthony Roberson
6-2 SG / PG from Florida
4.5 ppg, 0.7 rpg, 0.8 apg in 10.9 minutes
Al Harrington
6-9 PF / SF from St. Patrick's (HS)
12.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.0 apg in 33.3 minutes

And there goes a significant chunk of cap space in 2010.

Yeah, no point in getting Diaw. We already have Gallo for the future. Walsh wouldn't OK that idea. The only Suns we may have a shot at getting are Stoudemire and Nash, and Nash will be real old. That's in 2010.

Diaw and Bell will cost the Knicks more or less what it would cost to re-sign Lee and Nate. Also, adding Bell and Diaw is an upgrade on defense and clutch play down the stretch AND we might even be able to do harrington for Diaw and Bell using our exceptions (someone please verify if we can do cash from the Balkman($1,369,920)/Collins(1,034,760) exception or use the Mobley exception)

Didn't really realize that... what about Jeffries and Nate for Diaw and a second?
