MY FIRST QUESTION IS ARE WE GOING TO SIGN "SKIP TO MY LOU" ALSTON ?

SECOND QUESTION IS- CAN WE PICK UP OLDEN POLYNICE? UTAH HAS NO ROOM FOR HIM RIGHT NOW WITH THE SIGNING OF AMECHI

I think we only have the $1.3 mil salary slot left, so only one of the above is possible. We need a body that's bigger than 6'7", but we really need a point guard who can take his man off the dribble. The offer has been made to Alston, let's hope he takes it.

Nothing from the Knicks camps anyway. Seems like the Pacers, Raptors, and Cavs have shown interest. I think the Raptors have some sort of Oakly trade exception money to spend, but otherwise most deals would have to contain the switching of players. Don't the Rockets still have to re-sgn Mo Taylor and Anderson?

About Olajuwon...i think the knicks do have a chance of acquiring him, through trade only - Harrington is now deemed useless to the Knicks cuz of the logjam at the 4 spot..Othella did show some skills late in teh season and in the series with Toronto...we should probably ship him, postell, and knight/chenowith....i know the deal sounds like crap for houston, but if it aint this, it's probably nothin....
