LOL. Mike Breen hates technical fouls, I don't know why. As an announcer, you'd hope a player gets T'd up so you can add some flare to your commentary. This guy just gets down when something is about to go down.

not to be a douchebag but sorta looked like Lee travelled on that break away behind the back dribble... still, a sweet play.

Doubt Nate wins the 6th man unless he keeps this up for the rest of the season and the Knicks keep winning. I think Manu Ginobli and Jason Terry are his main competition. Terry is averaging 20 points and 4 assists while Manu is at 15 and 5 rebounds. Would be nice, they have to keep on winning for Nate to get a legit chance at it.
Not sure about Lee's competition but does Granger count? He still had good stats last year though at 20 and 6. This year he's averaging 26 and 5. [Edited by - bishop on 01-30-2009 12:59 AM] |

Why should Nate win 6th man over Terry whose averaging 21pts a game?

Posted by JrZyHuStLa: Yet Breen never has a problem when Kobe or Lebron does the same thing. He actually loves it on the National games. Breen has issues and more than fans are starting to call him it out on it. That's why he defended his statement with "I know I get yell at..." Give Mark Jackson kudos for pointing it out to him. Posted by nyk4ever: Exactly. Jameer Nelson is also tearing things up in Orlando - and Orlando is killing it - so I wouldn't be surprised if he's in the convo. Let's also not forget about Chris Duhon yet he also ramped up his minutes a lot. There's also this kid named Devin Harris (LOL DALLAS nice trade morons). Let's take a look: 08/09 compared to 07/08

Knicks make playoffs MDA is in the running for coach of the year. He is rebuilding with ute.
Likely goes to SVG if he can finish on top of Celts. Phil Jax should get it but he is handicapped with too many good players. |

I actually agreed with Breen on his statement, I hate all the posing and saluting that Robinson does, but after a big play like that, as an announcer you just have to keep it to yourself.
I just hope that people will like me

I say Nelson wins MIP because he made the All-Star team and he that he dedicated his game to his father's memory, which makes for a nice story. Harris comes in second because he made the All-Star team too.
The only thing that really changed with David Lee was he was given an opportunity... I think people expected double double numbers, but maybe not this good... Contrast that with guys like Jameer Nelson and Chris Duhon, players most people (including a lot of posters here) dismissed coming into the season. Devin Harris has a good shot at the award because he's turned into a go-to scorer and I don't think anyone could have expected that. And Jason Terry wins 6th man... not much of a discussion DLeethal wrote:

Posted by EnySpree: If you are talking about Knicks most improved player and 6th man you are 100% right. To have league recognition for our players we need to bring back some team recognition first. "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Hamlet

Posted by TMS: I can agree with Devin Harris, but if somehow, the Knicks sneak into the playoffs with an above .500 record, somehow, then I can definitely give the 6th man award to Nate. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute
