Lakers, Cavs and Celtics at home next week.

I guess the Lakers and Celtics will look at those games as "revenge" games and Cleveland has owned us twice. I think we're really going to see what we have here with our Knicks.

3-0 is unlikely.
2-1 is a doable but not going to bet on that.
1-2 is acceptable and likely conisdering the competition.
0-3 we have to avoid.

I do see us taking one at that is Cleveland since they may not take the game seriously, but you just never know with our Knicks.

I'm really really hoping for 2-1. I think it would be a sign that we've turned a corner.

The Celtics are the only team we match up well with... and that's not even necessarily true. It's only true if the Knicks can coax the Cs into running. The Lakers kind of run and LeBron is such a threat and playmaker that he'll excel running... and Mo Williams always torches the Knicks.

I'd like to come out of this week not being the new face of the NBDL in Yakima.

3-0 is unlikely? unlikely?

If we win any one of those games, we're likely to tank the rest of the month...
Gasol's trying to up his case to be an All-Star, the Celts are going to be looking for blood, sinew and bone, and then burn the rest, and Lebron's goal will be to posterize at least the starting 5...

0-3 is very likely... i hope everyone is prepared if that should happen & not overreact to losses against superior teams.

If by "run The Gauntlet", you mean "lose 3 games to vastly superior teams", I totally agree.

Yeah. 0-3 is likely. One win would be very good. More than that - well, it won't happen.

I'm gonna be at the Celtic game!!! We will be going hard for the Knicks kiddos....who cares about the playoffs next week? It's pride time....

Clevland and Lebron can't continue to dominate the Knicks so there is incentive to go all out against them and win...it's a must win for their pride!!!

The Celtics and the Knicks actually match up well against each other this season. As long as Ray allen and KG are mortal and the bench is quiet the Knicks should win.

The Lakers in my opinion suck....they rely too much on Kobe....they coast and then wait for him to take over inside of the 5 min mark....

I'm sensing a sweep!!! Go Knicks!!!! lets go get it!!!

We have to go 2-3 over the next 5 otherwise we're right back to 2 or 3 games out of 8th.

Indy (Must Win)
Cle,Bos,LA (could be 0-3 lets not kid ourselves, 1-2 would be very welcome)
Portland (Must Win if we go 0-3)

I would take 2-3 over those five games and throw a party to be honest.

1-2 with two hard fought losses would be acceptable to me... of course 2-1 or 3-0 would be well received too.

What if the Knicks lose all three by less than 2-3 points each game? Do we consider this some kind of moral victory?

What will people on UK think if, by a miracle, we win 2/3 during the week and then go in to Portland and beat them, or even lose a close one to them?

And what if we lose 2 of 3, with both loses being close, and then go in to Portland and whip the Blazers?

I suppose that I am just wondering how (or if) anyone's impression of the Knicks as a team and their chances for reaching the playoffs will be influenced by what the team does over the next 10 days?

i can't wait to see all the people jones'in for playoffs right now start screaming for the team to be blown up after the team goes through an 1-4 or 0-5 stretch this year.

*sigh*

Well, this week certainly sucked. I was hoping we'd take one but it wasn't to be.

61 and 52 on consecutive nights. BK's near 25-year-old record shattered. 0 for 3.

Well, we did hang with these three teams before they would ultimately outclass us. Obviously we're not on these teams' level yet but at least we didn't curl up and die and get beat by 70 points like last year. Still 0-3 at home no matter what stings.

Also, we need to take a little more pride in protecting our house. After the 61, the 52 shouldn't have happened, IMO.

Oh, well, let's brush ourselves off and go to Portland....

I'm really really hoping for 2-1. I think it would be a sign that we've turned a corner.

The corner you are hoping for hasnt been turned yet. Sure we have a coach now, some players who are happy, and a better feel in the locker room. But we are still winning meaningless games and sacrificing a good draft pick for barely missing the playoffs.
