I wonder if this guy would fix our combination problem of SG and back up PG. I view Nate as the 6th man--a guy with no direct position but rather a player. Calathes is a very unique combo guard that plays our brand of basketball. Our trouble spots are SG/back up PG and we need to replace Jefferies with a better player upfront. I think Calathes has the ability to kill two birds with one stone in this rotation--especially since we have two smaller guards in Duhon and Nate--I think he might be a great choice for us and I think we might be in his realistic range now that we have trailed later into the teens.

I haven't seen him in person yet but I'm intrigued by his size and that he plays the point while being able to shoot the ball on the perimeter.

I suppose he has to finish up strong and his stock position may depend on how athletic he comes across at the combines and workouts and whether or not teams view him as a point.

I'm starting to be more intrigued by heady, smart, versitile players who can stroke it (rather than the typical NBA stud athlete) in D'Antoni's system. Guys like Singler, maybe a Curry or a Calathes.

It's because you posted twice. And it appears instead of editing the first one after you submitted it by mistake without adding text, you just quoted Briggs again and did a whole new post.

I saw Florida play this weekend. They run alot and all game. Nick plays on the ball alot and they have another point guard the bring of the bench and then he plays off of screens and curls when that happens.

He looks like a good Point Guard though, so it's kind of unfair to call him a combo guard.
