Marion is reported to want out of MIA desperately & the Heat are shopping him to other teams... why not make a run at him?

how about an offer of Harrington, Curry & Nate for Marion & Marcus Banks?

Matrix plays defense, rebounds w/the best of them & is ideal in MDA's uptempo style game... this allows MIA to start Beasley at SF, who has been steadily improving as the season goes along & getting more extended burn in the past several games... MIA plays a half court style game that would be conducive to Curry finding better success in, & Harrington & Nate will provide some much needed depth off their bench for the stretch run at the playoffs... Banks is a decent enough backup at PG & he's better suited to an uptempo style as well, but more importantly his contract will save us $6 mil off what Curry's slated to make in 2010 so it opens up more flexibility for the FA market also.

then offer up Malik for Stack, who's been asking out of DAL all year in a pure salary saving move for DAL, & u end up w/this:

C - Lee / Jefferies
PF - Marion / TT
SF - Chandler / Gallo
SG - Q Rich or Stack / Stack or Q Rich
PG - Duhon / Banks / Roberson

MIA is said to be concerned about JO's durability... u don't think Harrington & Nate can help MIA? i do... every championship contender needs a deep bench, & those 2 would provide them w/scoring punch when D Wade is off the floor... if JO is healthy then obviously they will go w/him, but that's not a given in this situation.

Marion also put up his best career #'s playing for D'Antoni... he's playing for a contract right now & he's clearly not happy in MIA... why wouldn't it make sense to reunite w/a head coach w/whom u had the best years of your career with? makes sense to me.

I'm not interested in trading for another guy who is not happy anywhere. If you can't be happy playing with Steve Nash where are you gonna be happy?

what are we really losing in this case? Al Harrington & Nate? i don't see where u could go wrong here... we're gaining some much needed cap flexibility w/this trade... we need a defensive presence in the frontcourt... MIA can benefit w/the added depth off the bench & a possible low post threat if Curry should ever get his butt back into shape... this trade doesn't hurt them in 2010 much either since they're already set to be well under the cap that year even w/Curry's extra $6 million in salary.

i dont think Riley would want ANYTHING to do with players like Curry and Nate. Even Al is debatable.

i think Marion for Josh Howard & Stack probably makes the most sense for both parties, but i hope Walsh is at least inquiring about the possibility here.

If Miami was willing to take Curry, I go for that deal in a second. But there is no way Miami wants Curry at $10 mill until 2011. We would probably have to throw in a draft pick.

jermaine did not play today. toronto spin "they don't want to play him in back to back games yet." colangelo refused to speak about it tho.

marion out for tonight's game with a groin strain. (wade effect?)

anyways, looks like something is going down...

They want a center and they also want to slide Beasley to the 3 in the starting line-up. Let me ask you do you think Curry is durable?

I think they would take Curry because he fits their need for an inside post game but you're right his durability is the real question. Right now he is carrying too much weight. The Knicks should fire Brittenham. The guy is a complete joke.
