Opened up: 6-5 over 11 games.
(TRADES)
Went: 5-6 over next 11 games.
--
SIX GAME LOSING STREAK
--
Now: 3-4 over last 7 games.

With Washington coming up twice in a row....

Minus that 6 game skid of doom it's not all that bad.

We can be 19-22 soon, and I think we WILL.

So I think this season is still playoff bound. Any team that can knock off the Celts and Hornets is a playoff team.

Man when this team wins we start silver lining anything. When we lose it's was expected and non one cares.

This season is no different from what we've seen in the past.

don't know if you were responding to Cosmic's post or not, but you did put a lot of words into his post.

And if you don't see any difference in the way this team play's versus the way Isiah's team plays, you aren't watching closely enough.

Eh if he meant to it's no big deal I have a habit of doing that to some myself.

Anyways, I made the thread not to glorify a single win or anything, but to just illustrate our season so far breaking it down into blocks if you will. When you do that, much like a number of games we've lost this year, it's just ONE block that sticks out (much like 1 terrible quarter in an otherwise very even game).

In that, minus that 6 game skid, of which we can really attach to a fatigued team playing short handed, we're 14-16, much like we've thought for years that this team generally was, a shade under .500 ability.

I think this speaks volumes for Mike and even to a degree for the players we get on a lot.

Unfortunately to make something of this season they likely need a 6 game win streak and continued near .500 play to balance it out. Even if it's an 8-2 stretch over 10 games. It would be necessary. Unlikely to happen but we'll see what transpires with the two Wizards games.

Still, I just found it interesting, for 14-22 sounds terrible but if you break it down, it's all about one very excusable slump. Had we had a healthy Mobley I bet that slump does not happen.

As said the Wizards games will show whether or not we've truly recovered from that slump. The culprits of it, Chandler, Nate, Harrington - only Chandler has really fought his way out of it. With just 1 player fighting his way out of a slump leading back towards near .500 play....is a good sign.

No excuse for going 0-3 against the Bucks though.

Sure there is: They play tough defense and we can't score against tough defense. We don't have the players with the skill and brains to improvise. So, when we're defender, we fold. Add in matchups, which we seem to lose out on, and you've got your 0-3.

Bucks are also pretty big, so its a bad size mismatch.

So you're saying we have a very capable roster not great, not good, but capable or close to average? A roster good enough for coach to work with and achieve .500 play? A team that is very capable of winning more than 35gms?

That's what it is, rather than using some bad losses as an excuse to talk about how stupid and unskilled the Knicks are.

Our players are mostly young or not experienced as primary options.
When they have opponent which looks beatable on paper they fold under pressure. When we are fighting aginst ods they are calm and are playing much better.
It is all about winning exerience which all of our players have non.
When we will start blowing away bad teams - this team turned the corner. But this is long way to come.

No, we don't have the skill and brains to be consistent. When a team gets in our face we don't have the ability to improvise and to change how we're playing the opponent. The Celtic and Hornets wins...those teams never got in our faces, never disrupted what we were doing, we weathered a few runs but we never changed how we were playing, the opponent simply kept running out of gas and we kept the leads playing the same way wire to wire.

Stupid and Unskilled? Don't put words into my mouth.

I posted that the Bucks are a bad matchup, I posted that overall we aren't skilled or smart enough to improvise against teams who get into our face, what part of this do you not understand?

This loses for them were another mental problem - inability to play with any team, even bad, with same intensity.
Boston blows it not so often but they get too confident lately. Hornets are overconfident a lot and this hurts them.
We were just lucky to be on the receiving end of their mental breaks.

Take your insults and immaturity elsewhere. There's no reason to talk ball with you as you've always got an agenda and a poor grasp of reality of a situation.

Cosmic, I agree it ain't that bad. Over the course of 82 games when you are not a very good team you are going to lose to teams that you should beat, and beat teams that you should lose to. That's NBA basketball. You are who your record says you are. But I do understand your post. No doubt that the trade set us back. But we will have moments to take advantage of other teams vulnerabilities as they will come to town with injuries and/or trades and/or internal turmoil. In the end we will end up where we should in terms of talent.

I just hope that people will like me

Cos, I know what you meant by that line but understand that some may also take it the wrong way. Be careful in choosing your words and phrases.
