I don't know his game but nice little blog bringing up the disparity in salaries (to be): 3 million per (Landry) Vs. 10 million per (Lee)...

David Lee averages 17 and 13 rebounds per 40 minutes while shooting .565 from the field and posting a PER of 18.02. He’s known for his hustle, rebounding, and solid finishing skills around the basket. Lee is expected to command an average annual salary in the range of $10 million a year when he becomes a free agent this summer.

Carl Landry is averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds per 40 minutes while shooting .565 from the field and posting a PER of 17.71. He’s known for his hustle, rebounding, and solid finishing skills around the basket. Carl Landry signed a 3 year contract this past off season at $3 million per year.

What’s the difference between David Lee and Carl Landry?

Hmmm...
edit - The difference from just "stats watching" is minutes played...

I think Lee is better than Landry, but the fact that their can be any question demonstrates why we have to trade Lee if he wants $10 million per season. He just does not bring enough offense to justify that type of money and we need to create a spot for DG in any case.

I don't know what everyone's problem with lee is the guy is maybe the second best rebounder in the entire league and is efficient and you can book his numbers. He isn't getting 10 million on the open market because he isn't going to memphis. I think you have to watch out for the Thunder making a run at him, Detriot is not going to give him big dollars nor is Portland because the miles signing is taking their cap away

Carl Landry is a really good player. He was key to the Rockets big winning streak last year. He should've gotten more looks this offseason. One of the more underrated guys in the league

We could play this game all day AK47 get 12.7 points a game 6 rebounds and 1.42 blocks and makes 17 million a year. Does everyone think that no one will be under the cap but a few teams this summer? There will be trades to clear space and teams will sign players. David Lee never said he would go to memphis whoever said that is wrong.

Well if he does not get $10 mil and we can resign him for $7-$8 million, then we should do it. But I am guessing that he is going to get at least a $9 mill per season deal. If Jeffries and JJ1 can get $5.7 mill, then Lee can get $9 million. I am not sure we can afford to pay Lee $9+ unless he is going to be our starting PF. If we luck into a strong defensive center, it might work, but good centers don't grow on trees.

Guys that are top 5 in rebounding and field goal percentage and second in the league in double-double arent easy to find. You have a guy that doesnt need shots and makes them when he shoots them.
