My soul has been crushed. We have sucked for about what 6, 7 seasons? At times it was interesting, and I had a reason to believe we could be better.
Now, we have the wrong coach, the wrong system, and we've pretty much always had the wrong players. The mismanagement that has followed this organization
like a rain cloud seems to still exist. We have a few bright spots, but generally this team is destined for Nateness, as opposed to greatness.

I have just tried to stay away from the knicks because its just too painful to go through this rollercoaster that never really goes up. Its funny
because so many people know me for my decades of Knick fanaticism that they think I still want to talk about them. I don't. People say what's up with your
Knicks. I say "they're dead to me." they don't believe me and keep talking about the knicks.

I haven't found a way to care, because I don't like the coach, the direction Walsh has pushed us in, nor do I like most of the players. I like Lee, Harrington, and Chandler. Thats it. How do you guys keep caring about this team?

What direction is that? REBUILDING?? Who said you could rebuild in NY and that the fans would be patient? What is it, 34 games into a 164 game rebuild and you are saying the team is dead to you? You need to give Walsh a clean slate and not condemn him based on the previous regimes.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

killa! hey man, I hear you man. I was at that point last season. I was numb after watching those early games and that whole fisaco with Isiah's trial. I started back watching late last year. Now I am at that point again. I am with you on the wrong coach for what they are trying to do. I am fighting it but I don't think I will stop watching again because sometimes it is the struggle that makes the victory the most savoring.

it's the hope of reaping the rewards of celebrating when they finally do get it right that drives my loyalty to this team... the longer it takes the higher the reward will be when that finally does happen... i don't wanna be a bandwagon rider & start following this team again once they start winning again... that's just not in my nature.

For me it's hope and laziness. I am hopeful because things can't get any worse, so they must be better soon. And I am too lazy to jump ship and divert my energies into following another club. For better or worse, a Knick fan for life. One day, when it's good, we'll laugh about it and it will make the victory that much sweeter.

What do you guys want? Its obvious to all involved that were playing for capspace and 2010. What do you guys expect from a team of mismatched players that are put together because of their salaries? Were playing with 2 of the worst players in the NBA in out starting lineup, JJ and Qbrick. What do you guys want? Cmon man its a rebuilding year.

We really do have some garbage players, Q and JJ you mentioned, but I also want to add Al Harrington and Nate. They are just a couple of streetball chuckers who have no place on the (future) winning Knicks.

i hear ya, but it's just sports... you watch basketball. you pick a team you like. simple. it shouldn't be all that stressful. (it can be, i've been there. i've thrown **** around the place). but in the end it isn't all that big a deal. just my two cents.

I watch and pay attention because I am a NY Knicks fan. Yes I've suffered through these terrible seasons and lackluster play. All teams go through this, some longer than others but it's inevitable. I believe that this team will get better, if I didn't believe that I would turn my attention elsewhere. They are not winning as I'd hoped but they are actually alive this year which is more than I can say from years past. These guys are exciting and when they (or whoever's here) learn to play defense, they'll be better, maybe not NBA championship better but better non-the-less.

Let's all find an other team to root for... then we can pretend they're the Knicks and feel good about ourselves devoting so much time to our NBA team.

What team could we choose ?

killa i was there last year. gutted it out till the end of regular season then took the off-season away from them. just could not stand to hear the words marbury, crawford, rendolph or curry for 6 months. now i have a little reserve tank refilled - i can once again rely on humor, alcohol and uk camaraderie to cushion the agonies of loving this team.

Killa4 - egelband has it right. think of it this way, the Knicks are a trade deadline away from another set of changes for the better. Chris Duhon, David Lee and The Mayor are keepers. Everyone else will receive some nice parting gifts.

besides, look on the bright side, in lieu of an NBA Championship parade down Broadway - there will be one helluva block party on January 20 with the epicenter near the corner of 14th and U Streets in front of Ben's Chili Bowl in Washington DC

FrenchKnicks - if you need a basketball team to feel good about yourself, you might want to consider therapy or finding a new hobby

Besides killa4, you are one of the few original thinkers on this board who don't hesitate to deviate from the conventional groupthink. You don't worry about being ostracized.

You are missed.
