According to the report, Livingston's release is more because of luxury tax reasons rather than his health

Personally, I would take a chance on this kid... We need a backup PG and he's better than anything else out there

I dunno. I like his game too, don't get me wrong, but the kid pretty much only has one leg.

Guys Shaun has got hurt every year since he was 15. Great kid, skilled, but cant shoot and would be a hinderance to this offense

The guys is always injured and couldn't play on a team giving a rookie a majority of the time at the point guard position.

i loved livingston early on. i think at this point it might take a couple of years for him to physically recuperate. fortunately he's still young and has a chance. must be incredibly frustrating to be him.

Its precisely the type of low risk move we should be taking.

Maybe Donnie changed his mind (per Hahn) and made the trip because he knew he might have to give the word in person to Roberson? Wishful thinking...likely.

Such a devastating injury will take at least 2-3 playing years for him to get a semblance of "getting his legs back up under him", if that makes any sense. What he has going for him is his age --- he still is entering the prime of his career. Age is not a hinderance for him.

He needs to stay in the gym and shoot, shoot, shoot. Become and outside threat, so that if he does somewhat get his legs back, he will be that much more well rounded.

Hell yeah I take a flyer on him. He was on his way to becoming and All-Star before his leg snapped.

it's hard to know whether that's sarcasm or if you're being sincere... on the 1 hand, it's a low risk move on a low money contract... on the other, he's 1 of the biggest injury risks out there.

Well, Livingston and his one good leg were dealt to Memphis for a conditional second round pick in '12.

EDIT:

And then the Grizzlies waived him.
