Donny Marshall said that Eddie actually said this

"The funny thing about effort is, that sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not."

That's hilarious if it's true

What is Donny Marshall's relationship to Curry? Did they play on the Bulls together?

Is this what the RGM fan posted saying he heard the Celtics broadcast reiterate during the Knick game?

Yeah, as far as I know, that's as far as the validation of the comment goes.

If it were for real, I'd at least hope to hear a little more from other sources?

Sadly, it does sound like something Eddy would say LOL.

Just wondering how a Celtic broadcaster has the inside scoop on interviewing Eddy Curry and a RGM poster is the one to break the news.

He needs good coach to teach him effort.

I heard it during the game broadcast as well. Havent' been able to confirm it at all. Donnie also kept saying that the Knicks wanted to get rid of Lee because he wasn't athletic enough. Not sure I've ever heard "unathletic" attached to David Lee. So maybe he just likes to make things up.

Best quote ever.........

Skiles is a demanding coach whose style the 6-11, 285-pound Curry never fully embraced. Asked a few years ago what Curry needed to do to be a better rebounder, Skiles replied: "Jump."
