Kid worked his way out of it. Nice to see. He went back to being more aggressive and the game has come back to him.

Now let us never see that mistake prone chuck fest ever again!

He is still young. No doubt he will be up and down throughout the whole year.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Yes, but the upside is there and at 21, the kid is only going to get better. In 2 years, he could be one of the top 3's in the East.

he's so smooth driving from the baseline. it's fun to watch his development. i'd like it if we could keep the core of dlee, nate, duhon and wilson and augment it.

Agreed. I think this kid is an all-star in the making. If he can solidify his mid-range game, its on.

Agree and disagree. Agree that he can be a star, but I see him as a PF with an outside game... but I feel like I'm splitting hairs right now

Now if he keeps his development up, just think what we can have for 2 max free agents:
Chandler (no longer just a part of a supporting cast, lots more)
Gallo - Up in the air what will come of him. But if he does heal, with that shot, head and passing - Dangerous with a star or two next to him.
Nate - Instant offense. Fire and Energy off the bench.
Duhon - Good plus point guard
DLee - He just doesn't stop developing, the only thing left is Defense. Again, do we trade him for a better SG / backup PG and keep our salary cap in order and hope Gallo slides in?

Although its fun watching this group win games, I still think that even with this core and the possibility of adding one or two really good FAs, we still need to get lucky with our draft pick this year and add a center like a Thabeet.

Props to Isiah for taking this kid!

I think Wilson doesn't understand how good he really is- its like waking up one day as Michael Jordan- you don't realize how good you are, and you sometimes forget. Not comparing him to MJ.

split away brother.

i like him a lot better as a sf who can flex inside. i want a bigger body and more of an enforcer attitude at pf.

IMO, if he continues to work on his game and does not get lazy, the kid's floor is Richard Jefferson (he will at least by that good). His ceiling is hard to determine because it depends on how consistent his jumper can be and whether he continues to improve his ball-handling, but it is not unrealistic to think this kid can be a 24-25 pts per game scorer if he keeps developing. In two years, an average of 23 pts, 7 rbs, 3 ast, 1.5 stl, and 1.5 block is realistic for him.

IMO more along the lines of 18 to 19 points might be where he maxes and I doubt he ever averages more than a block per due to his demeanor.

haha nice... I don't think you can go wrong with whatever position Chandler plays.... he plays SF and the Knicks get an enforcing PF, they'll be great. At the same time, I think the Knicks will be even better if Chandler turns into Rasheed Wallace v. 2, without the psychosis. If either happen, I'll be okay though

You know it's often those quiet guys that got the fire inside. He seems to be turning it up lately so lets see what happens to his D (and blocks).
I can't argue with the points, though depending on who is around him he could conceivable get more (he has the talent, the inside game, just needs to work more on that outside shot (and he is)).

i know.

thing is guys like KG Brand Dalembert and AK47 avg 1.5 blks per and they actually play the ball in the air aggressively night in and night out.

Chandler shiows that kind of aggression in spades and IMO it has nothing to do with being young. Its just his nature.

I have seen it a bit differently than you. Could be that Chandler has also been guarding 2's, 3's and 4's, so much of his time could be on the wing instead of being closer to a weak-side help position for a block. We shall see.
