I'm just curious - how many of you really think the Marbury distraction is a significant issue?
Marbury is a significant distraction. Walsh should cut him now
It makes no difference. Let Walsh do what he thinks is best for the team

This will shock some but I said "It makes no difference. Let Walsh do what he thinks is best for the team".

Why? Because I am not a GM. I have my own personal feeling on the topic but if Walsh could some how trade Marbury for 2009/2010 expirings who were not bums AND get a pick out of it then he's the man.

I just don't see it possible. Then if it's not, I gotta say, he better expedite the process the day after the trade deadline passes.

I think Walsh's slow, deliberate, quiet, patient manner is perfect for dealing with Marbury. Marbury has never not gotten what he wanted. His leaving 15 minutes into the buyout talks with Walsh goes along with his mentality. He has never had to participate in an agreement where you give to get. His flawed ego will not allow him to accept a reasonable buyout and he does not realize that Walsh sees his contract as an asset that he might be able to trade at the deadline. If Walsh doesn't trade Marbury I think he will release him after players cannot be added to a playoff roster. If Marbury had an agent that he respected enough to listen to, he would let him know what the future holds if he doesn't accept a buyout that benefits the Knicks as well as him.

I say make that SOB suffer. Don't let him sign with anyone. Pay him the rest, just keep him away from the team. Let his stock go down in flames and see if anyone signs him next year. I doubt it.
I'll never trust this' team again.
