Speaking of the Nets---they have the steal of the first round. No way Brook Lopez shouldve fell to 10. Teasm that were stupid on that one NY Minnesota Charlotte. I don't care if DJ Augustin is better than I thought he would be--he's still 5-11 160 and this is still the NBA--they needed a C and could have Lopez and Ok4 as a 4-5 foundation for years. I don't think even likes C--there is no 5 position.

Kevin Love wasn't such a bad mistake... he's putting up decent numbers for a rookie in limited minutes... Milwaukee made a mistake taking Joe Alexander when they had just traded for Richard Jefferson & had Charlie V on the roster as well... that move doesn't make any sense at all... Alexander can't even get any appreciable run over there because they have a glut at the SF position.

8 & 8 in 23 mpg as a rookie isn't atrocious... that's easily a double double if u give him starter's minutes... D Lee put up worse numbers as a rook... kid's gotta work on his FG percentage no doubt but i think he's gonna be a real solid player & they needed another frontcourt player desperately... at least that pick made sense... Lopez was probably the better choice in hindsight but i can't say they dropped the ball on that pick... Love was highly touted coming into the draft.

Love will be a better player than Lee before it's all said and done. I think he's much more of a complete package.

I disagree. He is an undersized unathletic power forward. I think he was pegged as a player with the least amount of upside. Normally for undersized players to succeed they use their athleticism like a Barkley.

6'10" 260 lbs. w/a long wingspan is undersized? as for his athleticism, he was never touted to be a wiry athletic player that will run up & down the court anyways... the T'Wolves play a more half court style & already had a low post beast in the paint that could block shots in Al Jefferson... they needed someone to complement him in the frontcourt who could knock down some mid-long range jumpers & help on the boards & that's the type of game Kevin Love can play... he was touted as a Brad Miller style player w/a high IQ who can post up, passes well out of the post & can extend defenses w/his range... most scouting reports described him as a more polished offensive player than Lopez was coming into the draft & it's not like Lopez is all that fleet of foot either... my guess is his FG % would be a lot better if it weren't for Al Jefferson taking most of the touches down low on offense... there's no doubt he's got potential to be a really good NBA bigman at this level IMHO... he's really not that far off right now from getting there.

Pre-draft barefoot height of 6'7.75," I still think that Love will adapt to NBA ball, but you have to wonder about whether his liabilities as a player and athlete will make it difficult for him to excel at either forward position.

If you really look at how the rookies have performed and team needs at this point, Lopez might even have been a better pick than Beasley for the Heat. You can also make a good case for Minny and the Knicks taking Lopez over Love/Mayo and Gallinari (and I really wanted the Knicks to take Gallo at 6), assuming that Lopez is no fluke and his game continues to improve.

Lopez on Miami would give that team an entirely new look and allow certain players to play at their natural positions. Lopez and Jefferson at 5/4 would give Minny two big men who could compete with anyone at those positions. Lopez on the Knicks would give them a center with brains, skills, and inside toughness.

As for Yi- just another example of why you can't give fans too much of a say in all-star voting.

In fairness, almost every NBA player is listed at about 2 inches taller than they really are. It's a marketing ploy. I try to stay consistent by using the NBA listed heights, since it's very difficult to find statistics of every player's barefoot height.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
