Hey guys,

My name's David et I'm a French student living in Paris. I've always been a die-hard Knicks fan and for the first time in my life, I'll go to NYC to see the Knicks home opener against the Magic. I'll be in NYC between October 23 and November 1.

As I'd like to make the most of this trip, I'd like to hear your advices or suggestions of the things I should definitely do in NY! Where should I go? Do you know any good restaurant, jazz club, store... ?

What are you favourite places in the city? I'm especially looking for good place to be at night to enjoy the city that never sleeps!

Please, post all your ideas before Wednesday night because I'm leaving Thursday morning! Thanks for your help guys.

PS: my seat for the Knicks home opener is in section 311, row G, seats 11 and 12. If you're going to the game, I'd love to meet you there!

How old are you?

There is Broadway, Museums, Shops on 6th avenue, Macy's on 34th Street, Burgdorf-Goodman on 57th and 6th, Rockerfeller Plaza, Ground Zero, The south Street Seaport.

For some nice places to hang out there is NYU area ~ 8th Street, and Union Square (14th Street).

Of Course, you are going to the garden...

Go to Brooklyn, get some cheesecake at Junior's restuarant. Go to the Statue of Liberty. Empire State Building. Times Square (42nd Street) - there are a lot of good restaurants over there too.

Coney Island (in Brooklyn)

Central Park (in Manhattan)

If you need more suggestions, seriously, get a guide book... it will lay things out for you very nicely.

Bienvenue a NYC (in advance)

Il y a trop de chose a faire a NYC...et tout reste ouvert plus tard que Paris...(pardon my bad french, it's been a while.)

Take the A train (think of Duke Ellington while you ride it....) from 42nd st to West 4th street, in Greenwich Village. Exit. Begin walking in circles, wider and wider as you explore the Village and Soho. Then find your way to Chinatown...stop and ask for a place to find good Dim Sum. Then walk some more...

On peut passer le jour en faisant de celui, et pas finir voir tout...

You get my point. Amuse-toi bien, David.
