Press release is from today but he played 22 minutes for them.

The Los Angeles Clippers today signed free agent guard Fred Jones. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

A six-year NBA veteran, Jones played 70 games with the Knicks last season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25.1 minutes. The Clippers will be the fifth NBA team for Jones, who has appeared in 378 total games and is averaging 7.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his NBA career.

He is pretty explosive, might have been a good fit in Dantoni's offense.

Fred was my choice for the Knicks to add as a desparately needed additional guard. Not that he is great, but Fred would have been another body who could at least play the position. He probably signed at veteran's minimum. Now Clips have 2 guards from our last year's team - Mardy C and now Fred J. Good Luck.

I liked Fred as a backup. He played d and knew how to play. He's a solid guy who could have helped us off the bench much more than Roberson.

I agree. MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN ROBERSON choice (at this point). Now, Roberson might be a good project as he can shoot...

It was a sad day when the Knicks lost the great Fred Jones (or, "The Congressman" as I like to call him.)

Keep an eye on the clippers. Now that they have The Congressman, I expect great things from them.

Jones is a marginal player but I agree that he is better than Roberson.

I think there's a spelling error in this post. Surely you meant "magical"?

Yeah, "magical" that's the ticket. IT thought he was magical and we know how IT can evaluate talent.
