A good read:
http://www.nypost.com/seven/12282008/sports/moresports/new_york_fans_sports_dna_determines_all_146198.htm I always believed in supporting all' NYC teams first of all and then Metro area teams second (Islanders, Nets, Devils). For those Mets, Jets, Knicks, Rangers fans, I support you. Always have and always will. It's healthy to have inner competition of course, to make us all stronger in the end. But an equal amount of support should always go around. Sure, the Yankees are always the supreme team of the land and if it wasn't for them, NYC wouldn't have much to talk about. But if it wasn't for the other teams to fill in the gaps, then the Yankees would simply be boring in NY. This is a great read to what some see as a dilemma, but what I see as a healthy argument. I had made the point about a year and a half ago that NYC had not gone without a championship team no more than six years and that happened only about three times since 1921. For the first time in that period we have gone seven' years without. That's until the Giants snapped the dry spell last year. The Devils snapped the Metro area spell a couple years earlier. But the point being, this city is the most successful, most consistent winner of all other cities. So the next time you start bashing other teams in this city, you might want to think twice about it. NYC Sports Fans DNA Determines All? Not necessarily. I'll never trust this' team again.

Basketball's the only real sport in this country anyway. Screw mets, yanks, giants, jets, rangers, islanders.
