What do you guys think of Lamar Odom? He's a native New Yorker and a very good SF. Puts up points, gets rebounds, is a force in the 4th quarter, un selfish pass first player.

Would love it, Odom's a perfect player for this system. Not sure he would want to leave the lakers even though his minutes have been decreasing. Offtopic, I'm secretly hoping Lebron signs an extension with the cavs, so we all don't collectively bank on one savior. Little pieces here and there + good draft+ one all star in 2010 + dlee and nate would make for a very competitive team.

I've been wanting him here for years.....it would be a good fit.

I think Odom would be great. I am not sure what Jackson is doing playing Radmonovic over him. I also think Battier would be great. Both might be available for the right offer.

i think he's still a double double type player even tho he's not putting up stats this year... but if u trade for his expiring contract now u gotta be willing to re-sign him to a longterm extension.

Curry & D Lee for Odom?

i definitely would re-sign him if we traded for him... it would definitely involve us giving up D Lee at the very least, i wouldn't give him away for a rental player.

would love to get Battier, but is Wilson Chandler that far off from him as a player? defensively no question Battier's better but Chandler's a more talented offensive player, & he's on a rookie contract... Battier's contract extends past 2010, personally i don't think he's good enough of a player to mess up the 2010 plan over.

First things first. Open up and save the cap space for 2010 and go after the big names first, and then try for the smaller fry like Odom.

if u could unload Curry's contract in the process it doesn't effect the cap in 2010 at all... i don't see the Lakers doing it to be honest but anyway it's just for argument's sake... Odom's a legit double double guy & he plays much better defense than D Lee & has a much more well rounded offensive game.

You'd likely ned a third team to make it work.....but, Lee (who would fill Odom's role..... Nate, who'd fill a guard spot which could be opening up through an expiring contract or a trade...and expiring filler (Rose) would work straight up. Preferably, you just sign him this summer, but we don't have the cap space right now.

BTW - Odom at the 3 in 09' joined by Wade at the 2 in 2010' wouldn't be too shabby
