from ric bucher:

Sources also say rookie phenom Anthony Randolph, who some believe has the talent to one day be among the league's top 10 players, has been told he's not fitting in and could be dealt.

Yes, Randolph is 19 and plays with crazy rambunctiousness that results in silly fouls and ugly turnovers. But he also routinely makes plays -- blocked shots, crushing putback dunks and acrobatic drives -- that are beyond any other Warrior's capability. People within the organization talk about him the way they did Webber, as a singular talent capable of someday making the team a title contender. According to a half-dozen scouts and GMs, he has the potential to nudge out Derrick Rose as the best player in his draft class.

He didn't post this because he's still wiping up the keyboard after fantasizing about all the trade possibilities.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

The more I hear and read about this guy, the more I see his box scores, and the more I think about it, is the more I feel we should trade D.Lee if need be to secure him. This is a cornerstone.

A. Randolph is a corner stone. At 13 minutes a game and 19 years of age on a 210 lb frame he would be our leading shotblocker. After a few years and some NBA-type weight-gain programs, you're looking at a 21, 22 year old shot blocker with skills that stands at about 230, 240; with much room to grow.

Get this done, Donnie.

There has been innuendo that he doesn't practice hard; all I can tell you, from what I've seen, is that no one plays harder in games. In any case, his agent is B.J. Armstrong, a former Warrior who played on championship teams with the Bulls. If anyone knows how a young player needs to conduct himself and would be happy to work with a team to make that happen, it's Armstrong. No need to make idle threats.

I'd rather make this deal with Washington and set both teams up for a while.

Clears up space to sign Nate. Solves our front court and shot blocking issues. Gives us a shooting guard.

Gives Washington back Jeffries, along with two young chips to go along with Butler and Arenas. They'd still have a balanced team, and I think more potent.

JaVale McGee
7-0 C from Nevada
6.2 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 0.2 apg in 15.6 minutes
Mike James
6-2 PG from Duquesne
2.5 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 1.0 apg in 9.2 minutes
Antawn Jamison
6-9 SF / PF from North Carolina
20.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 2.0 apg in 38.7 minutes

Outgoing Players
Wilson Chandler
6-8 SF from DePaul
13.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.1 apg in 33.3 minutes
David Lee
6-9 PF from Florida
14.4 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 1.9 apg in 33.4 minutes
Jared Jeffries
6-11 SF from Indiana
4.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.7 apg in 15.4 minutes
Eddy Curry
6-11 C from Thornwood (HS)
No games yet played in 2008-2009
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

You can post all the stats and it's all for nothing.

Stats don't mean sh!t, right now, at least, the way you put them, I mean.

Listen, bro. A. Randolph is a cornerstone. Something that comes once in a while, once in a millenium, man.

Posting all these numbers is garbage, the only numbers you 'gotta' know are the ones aforementioned in my post on this thread.

It's the truth. Get over your stubborness, please; I've got a thus-far rare moment of insight, believe me, man.

Lee for Randolph- no one will be sorry in a year or two. PLEASE DONNIE.

All I can say to Golden State is the dude is 19....give him a break. Let him pay dues and such. Theres plenty of vets that will tell him how it is.

If they wanna trade him by all means trade him to the Knicks.

If Lee is asking for too much $$ or MDA and Walsh don't think he fits into their plans, by all means make a trade for Randolph and a pick, but you don't really believe your own hyperbole about Randolph, do you? You might want to see him play for a year or two before you label him as you did above. We still don't know about his durability and future weight; we don't know about his coachability and ability to adapt as a player to a particular system; we don't don't know about his temperament under pressure; we don't know if he will be able to improve certain aspects of his game; etc.

He is definitely an intriguing talent, but he has not been around long enough to make certain judgements on him.

pretty sure he was joking

Why would they give back a pick though?

I think you'd have to see if you could get them to take on Jeffries along with either Lee or Nate and take back Randolph and whatever fills out the deal without adding long term $.

First off if the dude is traded for Lee is't gonna be straight up....Lee is in a contract year and certainly is due a huge raise....that has to be taken into account....but hey if the mofo's are gonna give the Knicks a pick? then booyah bitch, thank you very much. Cuz you can look at it this way too...they are getting a guy thats already destined to be a 6-10 mil player....for a lotto guy? depending how you look at it its a good trade cuz Randolph could blow up or flop.

gallo, Randolph, Wilson, Al Harrington.....who stays and who goes if a trade like this were to occur?
