I adopted this pretty lady from a rescue shelter. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=196620&l=b14e8&id=884080044 She was a stray dog who needed a home. She's such a sweet, affectionate little lady. She's 1 1/2 yrs old and 25 lbs. I spent a few hrs with her Saturday but won't be picking her up until after the holidays. She's listed as a Spaniel mix. They think she may be partly a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and either a Dachshund or a Corgi, but it's hard to know. Maybe part Papillon. She likes to have her belly rubbed and every once in a while she licks my arm when I rub her belly. (I think that's her way of thanking and kissing me.) I've really wanted a dog for a long time and I can't wait to pick her up in Jan. Anyone else here have a dog they love? They're the best!

ROFL. 2 years ago it would have been "expiring contract"
On second thought, I'm not sure that's a good name to give a living creature!

I have a german shepard collie mix. I adopted him from North Shore. He was only about a month old when I got him and now he is 7years old. Very smart dog and still very much energetic as if he was still a puppy. He is definately my four-legged son

My family had a collie (like Lassie) when I was growing up. They're one of the sweetest, most beautiful dogs in the world. They shed A LOT though.

Congratulations Bonn. Just remember though. She's gonna be your dog and not your kid! Therefore, you gotto treat the situation like so. Also, lots of walks! All dogs needs them! Nice job though. I hope she lives a long meaningful life.

Here's my dog:

I have two cats. Can't keep a dog in an apartment. But they're cool pets. They're basically members of the family. They even talk... in their odd little language.

Congrats on the dog.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Here's my dog:

Aw, he's absoultely adorable. He kind of has an expression saying "I'm sad. Please come play with me!" Is he Mastiff?
Yeah, I'll give her daily walks--should be fun. Dogs are a lot of responsibility but I feel that for the right dog, it will be time well spent. My family had a wonderful collie when I was growing up and he was why I fell in love with dogs. I'm actually a very gentle, kind person when I'm not arguing on message boards!

Bonnie, Thanks for sharing that with us. We are like your dysfunctional extended family.

What unusual markings around the eyes? Kinda freaking me out. That dog will be watching you even when it sleeps!

You gonna let it sleep in the bed with you? What you gonna name it? You getting the dog at the pound to impress some chick? Thats always a great idea! Become a vegatarian also. That is really hot! Chicks especially dig that. Until they realize only pussies change the way they eat to be with a girl. That's who took the picture of you and the doggie?

Gonna spread peanut butter on your ass and let the doggie lick you while you look at Sweetney pictures amd jerk your self off?

Don't leave the dog with your mother if you do cuz she thinks your weird enough.

There is reason people leave dogs at the pound.

How tall is that dog? How come the dog won't look at you?

I'm not sure. Maybe "Bama" (after Alabama, the state I live in now).

Actually, my dad and I just came up with the name "Tri" (because she has three beautiful colors) and I love it! That'll be her name.

Is that pronounced "Try", "Trey" or "Tree"?
