What do you guys think of picking up JJ Redick? He has always been one of those soft guys I knew might suck in the NBA, but if he could come in and chip in 12-15 points a night in limited minutes, it could help Duhon and Nate out as the season goes on.

Maybe a second round pick?

Is he a better shooter than Roberson?

I actually think the Knicks should look at Damone Brown. He was awesome at SU and is playing for their D-League averaging 20 and 9. He is another small forward but he might do well with D'Antoni.

Naw, he just cant play at this level. He is completely incapable of getting off his shot --- and he's playing with a dominant low post threat who should, in theory, make it easier for a shooter to operate in the backcourt. He's just a flat out bust thats not good enough to play at the level. The NBA is too fast for him; no change of scenery can help him.

Needs to go overseas, stat.

Not to toot my own horn, but I called him flopping from 17 miles away. I had a friend once, big Duke guy, hyping up like no other. I kept saying, 'hey man, this guy, he sucks, he can't play in the NBA'. And he can't.

That being said, I think he would be MUCH better than Roberson for us. Just a hunch.

when I have seen him on the court for orlando, he just seems like he got plucked out of the stands and has no right being on the court.

He can't dribble, so he ain't backing up Duhon and he ain't better than Roberson.

I hope he went to classes at Duke, because I doubt Orlando picks up his option.

JJ Ridick will go down as one of the biggest flops in NBA History:

I've said it before... Derrick Byars 6'7 200 Vanderbilt. All around swingman, does everything pretty well. Just isn't gonna WOW anybody, he is worthy of a shot in my opinion. Plays in the D League now and is posting respectable numbers 13 ppg shooting 50% from the field. Reminds me of Mitch Richmond.

or

Marcus Williams 6'7 200 Arizona, Think Mardy Collins w/ a natural shooting stroke. Must improve his jumpshot. Is avg. like 23 ppg and 5 dimes in the D

just sign up the best G in the D Leagues & give him a shot... we got nothing to lose by replacing Roberson on this team.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Can we sign any player in the D League or are they affiliated with an Nba team?

Mardy Collins & Marcus Williams is a bad comparison b/c Collins is a subpar NBA athlete, talent with above avg bball IQ, enough to keep him in the league. Williams is a very talented guy with a laziness streak & subpar bball IQ, enough keep him out of the league.

Mardy Collins vs Marcus Williams.

I dunno how this is such a bad comparison. When you look at the two players, the difference is merely the opportunity. Collins benefitted from being on a garbage squad, that's why we know of him. Yes he is talented, and I think is a serviceable combo guard. But is he really that much of an upgrade over Marcus Williams 6'7 from Arizona Wildcats???, not to be confused with the Marcus Williams from UConn currently the 15th man on G.S!

Marcus Williams never had the opportunity! He was drafted by the Spurs... C'mon the Spurs, Gregg Pop and crew! As of late, they are a team that has a pretty decent draft record. I don't think that organization would've picked him if they assumed he was lazy. He just couldn't get any time behind the slew of wing players on the Spurs. In my opinion, I think he'd be a better pro than Mardy. Again I ain't an NBA Scout, but its not that much of a stretch to invision this guy being an adequate pro. The guy has upside and potential.
