There has been so little talk--is he close to returning? We could really use the 2006 Eddy Curry even off the bench.

He is currently working out with Mike Sweetney to get back into basketball shape.

I seriously would love to know what's up with him. I find it hard to believe not one beat writer has done a story on him. They rather talk Marbury and spin the doom and gloom.

I read he had his knee drained and had a cortisone shot back in early November. Then early this month, he was set to undergo a series of shots to help expedite his recovery.

Taken from his NBA.com player page (news section):

"An MRI taken on Monday revealed that the bone bruise in Curry's knee is resting against the tibia, a weight-carrying bone, the New York Post reports. Curry, who hasn't played yet this season, will take a new set of special shots -- one a week for three weeks -- because of the new evidence."

Yeah, I love how Curry managed to bruise his "weight bearing bone".
I thought I also heard he was to be fitted with a brace and begin practicing? Haven't heard anything since then.

Guys you don't got to be a doctor to see this means SLOW healing. With that weight and the location of the bruise, this might take some time. LUCKILY, he is not an old guy. We can just hope he can play in January so we can move him before the deadline. If not, he at least could help us later in the year on offense. Talk about easy points, can you imagine Eddy being guarded one on one with our shooters out there? He would be the last up the floor though...

I dont know.. I had a bone bruise. Hurt like a mofo but after 4 weeks I was doing some light running. After 6 weeks I was taping it up for practice. After 8 weeks I had it wrapped and was playing 18 innings in CF and pitching. The thing hurt like a son a gun and I had to pop 5 ibupro just get on the field, but I guess thats the difference between Eddy and myself.. I like playing sports

Here's an update on Eddy... lol...
When Eddy Curry wasn't wearing his Bulls uniform, he favored $1,400 cashmere sweaters and $350 dress shirts, a lawsuit filed Wednesday alleges.

Curry racked up a bill of more than $41,000 at Casual Male Retail Group, and two years later it remains unpaid, the suit says.

The company says Curry owes an additional $5,424 in interest from his 2006 shopping sprees.

''It's just a matter of him buying clothing he didn't pay for,'' said Edward Margolis, the attorney representing Casual Male and Jared M. Custom Clothing, a business popular with professional athletes that once was owned by Casual Male.

Margolis confirmed that the defendant was the former Bulls player, who is on the New York Knicks' roster.

Purchases on Curry's shopping trips, which occurred between January and April 2006, included $22,000 in suits, eight sweaters ranging from a $750 wool crew-neck to a $1,390 cashmere V-neck and more than $3,700 in ties.

I wonder what Eddy's McDonald's tab is!

he's a professional eater.....i believe he's retired from competition. youtube him.....his nickname is "badlands". He's been on tv countless times. He was on "trading spouses" once too.

Eddy has hired a personal trainer - I believe the guys name is Jerome James. The guy specializes in Karate and people close to the workouts are telling me that Eddy has developed a nasty Karate Chop.
