these are actual suns scouting reports in their lockerroom.




These are the Suns' scouting reports for the Celtics. There are some typed-up stuff that you can't read, but you can distinguish some of the handwritten items:

Ray Allen: "Find him! Do not leave" - "Quick release Catch + Shoot" - "Contest!"
Tony Allen: "Pushes in transition, full speed to the rim" - "Gambles on defense and steals"
Garnett: "Quarterbacks the defense"

You can clearly see Rondo's notes. I don't know whether they are from this year or last year, but it's interesting to see.

The typed part of Rondo's, for anyone curious:

(top line)
Wants to push tempo...quick with the ball. KEEP IN FRONT.

(second line)
Go under on screens...wants to get to the rim, strong finisher...altho improved, j still suspect.

(third line)
Pump fake him and drive, HE BITES ON EVERYTHING.

(fourth line)
(indecipherable) speed challenger.

Cool stuff. I think that indecipherable line says LEANDRO SPEED CHALLENGER. As in, he's just as fast as Barbosa. At least that's my guess since these are the Suns' scouting reports.

Thibs is sitting on the sidelines sending KG messages into an earpiece letting him know when to jump, rotate, swipe at the ball, move his feet. It's all very seamless. In fact, this has been happening for the many years before Thibs was KG's official coach. You know? All those years that KG was on the All-NBA Defensive team without Thibs. Yeah, hard to believe, but Tom has been the man behind KG's defense all along.

really Evil? I thought the only thing he was saying in that earpiece was "Pierce sucked on D till I got here, KG..."

You know, I am a little confused lately. I've been studying MDA's coaching philosophies and now I'm not sure what D actually is. Is it the one where our team puts the ball in the basket or is the one where we let the other team put the ball in the basket? Not sure. I'll have to look into this Thibs guy. I think he might have figured something out that the rest of the league doesn't know about.

Cool, they are from last year because you can see James Posey scouting report too. This is most likely Dan D'Antoni write up too since he worked with the Suns scouts a lot.
