drafting weis. We already have othella and spencer to backup at the big man positions. We might of well as used some of the spoon money to sign dudley. Spoon will get beat out by othella for the final spot in the rotation. I say we trade spoon and ward for a bag of chips

I think Layden signed Spoon in case we traded one our power-forwards (Othella who has really good value?) to another team for a center.

I guess determining whether signing Spoon was good or bad will just have to be answered in time. I agree that he hasn't been too impressive yet, but judging by last year he's probably going to play better as he gets to know the system better. I like what we have and as long as Camby is healthy by the start of the season, i think we should just stick with what we have until the right deal somes along.

Not sure if this is something to get excited about but Spoon was solid against Philly today with 8 points and a game-high 9 rebounds.

He did play pretty well as did Harrington with 9 points and 4 boards in 18 minutes. There's also a rumor that new york could offer 17 year vet Otis Thorpe a one-year deal for the minimum. I guess he could see some time at center, but i'm not sure how much he has left in him.
