Yea, its a weak draft. But too bad this organization is too incompetent to give itself a chance for a top 5 pick. They're going to fight for the 8th seed up until the last week, and lose 3 in a row to not make the playoffs.

Also, a draft being weak isn't as important as the player a team picks.

For example, the Knicks drafted Frye and Gallo in 2 really good drafts.

i think the Thunder are gonna have an awesome 1-2 punch in Westbrooke & Griffin in a couple years if they're lucky enough to win the lottery this year.

If I was at 15-17 and some of these players were gone I would take Hansborough and not think about it--he is the best player on the best team who plays at 125% enegry everyt play has an incredible mid range shot with form that can be extended he can really run rebound post the guy is just an under rated player and he will be good. 6-8/6-9 245 pounds he can be really good in this system and he is proving it in a similar system right now.

Hansborough is going to get ate up in the league. He's so mechanical and unathletic. I dont like his game at all.

True, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that I can think of better years to win 20 games. '09 isnt one of them.

i think Griffin's gonna be better than Durant personally, but ur right, he'll blend nicely w/those 2 guys.

My list for the mid range picks for this team

Tyler H Forward
Tyreke Evans Wing Guard
Darren Collison PG

No order on them as of now but I would probably have Collison first but I do think he will be a lottery pick. I do think that if things stay tight with our record--one of these guys will be a mid range guy we could swipe.

That's who they have us taking, but in that case I would rather take Gani Lawal from Georgia Tech. But who really cares about ESPN's mock draft? Didn't they have Brook Lopez going #1 last year? If it aint NBADraft.net or DraftExpress.com, I could care less.

Nostradamus, thanks for the heads up but why don't we wait to play the whole season before making such assumptions.

Now, if the Knicks make the playoffs I hope they fix the bench a little for such a run, because if we reach the semifinals we automatically send the pick to the Jazz this year and have our 2010 pick.

If we are in the lottery but not top 5, we should give him a guarantee and pick him.

Also, a draft being weak isn't as important as the player a team picks.

For example, the Knicks drafted Frye and Gallo in 2 really good drafts.

2005 was a strong draft, but there were a bunch of busts as well. Frye is a better player now then the #9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, and 20th player. And it's not like McCants (14) and Hakim Warrick (19) would make us all that better. Only Bynum and Granger would have been better choices. And not counting the top 4 picks, D Lee and N Robinson are in the top 10 players in the league from that draft.

And give Galli a few years and at least a few games to say whether or not he's a good player. He's a 20 year old kid for pete's sake.

This draft is not very good. I don't mind having the 12th-15th pick. I'd rather be competitive this year, and get a mid draft pick. I like Stephen Curry the best right now, but I don't see him being all that great in the NBA. Just seeing who they have us taking:

BJ Mullins: A 7-1 260 Center? That's not something MDA would want. He'll go higher anyways.
Austin Daye: Wilson Chandler and Danillio would be ahead of him.
Jordan Hill: Eh. A weak PF. Not a bad choice.
Greg Monroe: A 7 foot 250 pd Georgetown Center. I WISH! He'll be gone earlier.

I say watch out for Patrick Mills from ST Mary's. And Chase Budinger, who is an MDA type of player.

I don't care what people think. People are stupid. - Charles Barkley
