Isiah might be in charge if he had hired someone like Paul Westphal instead of Larry Brown

Actually, I am amazed that this squad has been able to play at the pace they have as quickly and as efficiently as they have this season.

Surprised we're so far ahead of Detroit and Miami...The Thunder might challenge that 9 win season. They're a complete joke.

I have league pass and I was watching them against the Spurs yesterday and nearly beat them - they came back from I think 15 down or so and were saved by a clutch block from Tim. The Thunder play hard - they just don't have the experience or the talent. They've lost a lot of games by single digits.

They're on pace to go 7-75.

Not saying it might or might not happen, but if we do make the playoffs and go to the semifinals, we send the Jazz our draft pick automatically.

That means we keep our draft pick next year. Its unprotected.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I don't think so. Playoff outcomes do not effect draft order in the NBA (they do in the NFL). In the NBA, regular season records dictate draft order. So in order for the Knicks to send this year's pick to Utah, they would have to finish with the 7th best record overall in the league (which would net them the 23rd pick in the draft, which would then be sent to Utah as it is top-22 protected).

Im trying to find the site but haven't been able to. It stated that if the Knicks made the playoffs and made it to the semifinals, they would be one of the top eight teams in the NBA (because only 8 teams would be left to play for the championship) and if that happened the pick would go to the Jazz.

I always thought it like you mentioned it, based on the overall record. Anyone has prove its one or the other? Would really like to know for sure.

Just look at the 1998-1999 season. The Knicks were the 8th seed in the east, but they made it to the finals to face the Spurs (who had the league's best record). In the 1999 NBA Draft, the Knicks drafted 15th. If they were drafting based on playoff results, their pick would have been 28th (because there were only 29 teams that year and they came in second place in the playoffs).

True. Then I wonder where did they (that site) got their info from.

Thanks

I'm really happy to see that the team is garnering respect from all corners at this point in the season. I've noticed that the media in general have been much less prone to attacking the team and more apt to give praise. This is a direct result of what MDA has done with the team. The players are playing hard and with pride. They've shown great progress in regards to sharing the ball and team defense.

One sign of the progress the team has made is how they look on the 2nd night of back to backs. They've actually been very strong in those 2nd games and we've seen the team look competitive on the road. Just imagine how this team will look with the addition of a stud to play the paint and a pure shooter on the perimeter?

When you play well people tend to say good things about you. When you play poorly and create spectacles people tend to laugh and make fun of you. It's simple math.
I just hope that people will like me
