Before Briggs drowns this thread in his saliva and drool, I will say that Randolph has potential. He's still real wiry and its unclear whether he will have the discipline and drive to develop past a raw, energy hustle player.

Hey he is able to suit up and play NBA games. Step 1: Completed.

He plays alot like McGrady and Camby when they first came into the league. He is all over the court. I think he was compared alot to Bosh prior to the draft but he plays alot more like a young Camby.

And we have already discussed how great would a young Camby be on this team...

Guess most young players look good when you are rebuilding.

He's going to be a really good player. He has an attitude and a lot of confidenceto go along with skill athletic ability size and length. We won't know what he is for 2+ years--he's not done growing vertically and he will get stronger. When he 21-22 more mature grown into his body with honed skills than you can say what he is or isnt. He is showing you what he can do--and for a 19 year old to put up 15-10-3 in the NBA is a pretty good sign. If Gallinari put those numbers up he'd be on the NY post front page tomorrow.

I like his intensity and he wears his emotion on his sleeves. I love the fact that he was intimidated by Yao and tried to block every shot Yao put up. You can tell that kid wants to get better.

Dude, that's like Step 3. Behind:

Step 1 - Getting out of bed and being able to stand straight without it hurting.

and

Step 2 - Being able to avoid running into somebody and putting yourself out of commission for 6-12 months.

Will he be a power, post player or a tweener?

The doctors said he is going to be 7 feet tall so I would guess a multi-skilled PF.

without a doubt he would've flourished w/ d'antoni, the gallinari pick is really perplexing, i'm eager to see him play b/c it seems like d'antoni was just doing a solid for his buddy from the italian league days
