![]() +/- stats like these, and like 82games, I just have a hard time reading them, recalling the game, and finding any correlation between the two. I've always disliked them.
They can be interesting but I've never found them to be concrete evidence in determining which players are good or bad. You always find good players that are listed as minus and bad players who are listed as plus - and you damn well know the bad player is bad and the good player good no matter what the +/- says otherwise. The newest stats I like to read after a game, and they too include their own version of +/- ... but SO much more are GAME FLOWS by PopCornMachine. Main Site Find a game, click on the gameflow link for the game, and away you go. Any bar on the chart.. just put your cursor over and up pops more detailed info. It outlines runs, lineups, etc. I think you can tell so much more with this tool than basic +/-. Anyone running a +/- site with lineups needs to remember to edit their sites post trades. What do we have to learn with Crawford and Zach listed anymore? Nothing. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!
