West Virginia Davidson should be one great game. West Virginia is really good and tough and if you havent seen Davidson you're in for one heckuva treat if you like basketball. Gives you 1:40 of basketball before Knicks Bulls

If you are in the city it's at MSG tonight. Im sure Mr Dolan wouldnt mind if you missed part of the Knicks game to come on down to MSG for a good game and some food

Knicks game starts at what...830? So yeah I'll check in. Thanks for the heads up!

Did he not go scoreless....then follow that up with 44?

People are singing his praises. I don't know a thing about him to comment though-

Stephen Curry is a fun scorer to watch, but I'm not a fan of what I've seen so far. He's not someone I'd draft, if I were the Knicks.

I think he went scoreless that game where he just stood in the corner and let the other team double him the whole game while his team played 4 on 3 ball..

this will be a treat, this kid is an elite shooter...

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. They (I think it was Loyola MD) double him straight up the entire night. So Curry did the heads up thing, and went to the deep corner and let his teammates shine.

Curry went scoreless but it was a choice made for the betterment of the team. Some guys who get the spotlight would have kept cutting and tried to force the issue.

Stephen Curry would look damn good in MikeD's offense...

Exactly. He definitely would, w/o question. I just don't know if he would running the team the way Chris Duhon currently does. He's not that type of player IMO. He's a gunner. But we'll see...

Yeah, exactly... this is his first year running the point though and keep in mind he is his team's best scoring option. We'll see how he handles The Tournament and if he can identify the open man against better competition than he's facing now.

I know Curry is a stick figure, but I wouldn't mind let him play 2guard for us. In this type of offense he would beat everyone up the court since he's lightning quick, set him a few screens and he is draining open 3's all night long.

If Monta Ellis can survive as a 2 then so Curry. They are the same height and Curry has 8lbs on him.

I'm taking my eleven year old to the Davidson v. WV game. We picked up $10 tickets for the bottom row of the 303 section from Ticketmaster. I think our ticket also covers the Vandy v. Texas game but a 9pm start time is a little late on a school night.

From what I can tell Davidson does not match up well with WV, the talent (minus Curry) and size is all on the WV side but we'll see. I'll guess Curry goes 26pt/10ast/4rb/3st, someone else has to score a bit for Davidson to win this one.

He's the ticket draw in college basketball--he's got the star power behind him. Davidson should put up a statue for putting them on the map after he leaves. You think Davidson would be on ESPN and the garden without him?

The kid gets it. I like his game, plus he grew an inch over the summer. I know 6'3 is not an ideal size, but with his release and range, it will give guys in the NBA hell...

He had a great first 5 minutes as a PG and a great last 5 minutes as a superstar but was really taken out of it by very physical defense which grinded into him with power and long arms and he was caught between play making and being the primary shooter --his passes that started the game off so wonderfully went bad and his shot went south. But at crunch time he won the game. He showed everyone that he can play the PG position although he will need to continue the transition to that position which is tough to do when they need you to score 30 points.

Stephen Curry is the deal- at this point he's been on TV a ton since he's been all over the tournament the last couple of years. Basically, his father is the floor of what he can do in the NBA. And that is saying a lot...Dell Curry was a great NBA 6th man and instant offense off the bench. Stephen is even more of a scoring machine.

Thread 3 and counting--I was letting people know the game was on--this is coming from a man with 21K+ posts who wastes bandwidth like it was going out of style? Why don't you listen to what Andrew and martin said and we can all mind our own business--no need to start up again--kabeesh?

if it wasn't for briggs posts about college basketball players, i wouldn't know anything until i started watching the occasional game in january (aka the traditional time of year the knicks are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs)

keep up the good work, briggs.
