He would be a good backup PG.

Give him a 10 day contract if you can do that yet. If not sign him for the year. He is better than Robertson

anyone's gotta be better than Robersuck, but why Cleaves? don't u think there's better options? might be better to include his name on the thread we already got going on this topic.

I thought cleaves was horrible..

Might as well go after Dumars, Allanfan.

There's a reason that Cleaves isn't around anymore, and the Knicks don't need bums like him. To sign Cleaves would be a trademark Isiah move, and Walsh is anything but an Isiah.

It's either a guy like chucky atkins for mobley's (hopefully) medical exemption --- or a younger kid with some promise NBDL or not. Nichols turned out to be a moron but there's got to be guys with his skillset out there that aren't. All we need is some kid to run the 1/2 with some semblance of a handle for about 10-12 minutes a game. We're not in need of a star just someone that can actually put the ball in the hoop unlike robersuck.

all kidding aside that was my thought. Very good handle, gets in the lane, good size... we have a lot of scorers. I thought he would be a good head out there to spell Duhon some

How about Andre Barrett? He was pretty good when he was in the league a few times. He even played for us one summer league.

I wouldn't even pick up Mateen Cleaves to play a pickup game. Mateen Cleaves might be the worst point guard to ever get drafted. Cleaves makes Roberson look like John Stockton. I would rather have Donnie Walsh run the point.

watching Von Wafer throw down a pretty sick dunk in traffic on NBA TV last night... shoulda definitely signed that guy instead of Robersuck... he can finish at the rim, has the size to D up on bigger G's than Roberson does, & is shooting a much higher percentage from the field & from 3 pt range.
