The Warriors are allowing 125.3 POINTS PER GAME in the seven games Crawford has started for them.

They were allowing 104.3ppg before Crawford showed up. Is Crawford really making them 21ppg worse on defense? Wow. I love the guy, but wow.

Too funny. To be fair, thats a lot of road games and some pretty cood competition. They probably haven't had time to work much poractice into the mix.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

He's back to shooting his un-Godly 39% from the field for them as well.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

nevermind, i did the math... Knicks are averaging 110 pts. allowed since they traded Jamal for Al Harrington... they were averaging 106 pts. allowed when Jamal was still here.

i don't think u can tell a thing by your GS example to be honest.

Since Craw (and ZBO) left:
NYK defense: 109.7ppg allowed (9 games)

While Craw (and ZBO) played:
NYK defense: 105.9ppg allowed (11 games)

i agree it's an insanely small sample size, but i don't think allowing 125ppg over a three week stretch is a mirage. it'll be interesting what the Warriors do the rest of the year.

They were 6-5 when they made the trade. And, yes, they are 3-6 since the trade, but they've been extremely short-handed with Nate, Cutino and Jefferies missing most of those games.

I guess all this proves that there is an adjustment period in trades, but still 125 POINTS PER GAME?!?!

i think both teams are just having trouble integrating their new players into their offense... it takes time to get these guys up & running w/new teammates & new coaches... we've all seen Harrington struggling in his first couple games to find his niche & get used to where he should be looking to get off his shots... i'm sure Jamal's doing the same in GS... he did have a monster 40 pt. game recently that almost singlehandedly beat the Heat too, though he was the one who missed the final shot to win it in OT, same as Al the other night.

Al is doing much better in NY than Crawford is in Golden State and Al plays better D too.

Jamal's averaging 20 pts / 5 ast / 3 reb since the trade, pretty much what he was putting up as a Knick.

Harrington's averaging 22 pts / 1.5 ast / 8 reb since the trade on about 40% shooting, which is not all that great for a frontcourt player.

i honestly don't see how Al has played much better than Jamal since the trade to be honest... it's been pretty much a wash for both teams.

Crawford is shooting 39% from the field, 30% from the 3. Al is shooting 43% from the field or even a little better after today and 36% from 3. Al is always playing out position. He is not a PF or C. He is a SF. His defense is also way ahead of Crawford and he is averaging a career high in rebounds thus far.

look if u wanna take season totals when they suit your argument u can say Jamal's putting up much better numbers this season than Al on the whole too... i'm taking specific samples of Jamal vs Al since they were playing on their new teams... the fact is the production these guys have put up since they were traded is pretty much a wash.

i know u hate Jamal's game but dude, be fair when u criticize at the very least.

Suit my argument? Those are the stats since he's been on the Warriors. Isn't this what we're discussing? Those numbers are similar to what Jamal has done his entire Knicks career. Al Harrington has a better shooting percentage and is more efficient in everything over the course of his career.

When Jamal was here this season, his field goal percentage was his career highest, I believe (I'll look it up) and his 3 pt field goal percentage was high. He was also playing better defense. Now Al is here, he's scoring a lot as well. Jamal's fg% is way down in golden state and Als scoring was down. I don't think there's a shadow of doubt that it has more to do with that very flawed and overrated system taking place in GS. This is me saying that, and I HATE blaming coaching and the systems. However, I think Donnie is probably telling Crawford to just go for his, kind of how Isiah told Crawford to do that.

D'Antoni is a superior coach, and one of the top 3 coaches in the NBA.

Crawford was shooting about 43% when he was here, so really his numbers compared to Harringtons are a kind of a wash. Harrington, by virtue of being 6'9" and being a forward, should have a higher shooting percentage than that anyway.

I think it's too early to have a definitive answer on the trade. There is often times an adjustment period and guys may start to mesh as we move forward in time. That being said, we all know that Craw plays no defense and do not neet any further evidence on this.
I just hope that people will like me

look at the +/- for on the court off the court. Knicks were - with Crawford off or on, but got worse when he sat. Of all the guys they seem to play the worst when Lee sits. Harrington and Thomas have not helped them at all when on the court.

something to the original Crawford analysis. GS has been AWFUL, a whopping -18 when Crawford is on the court vs. -2 when he sits.

I can't understand why some fans still can't come to terms with reality when it comes to Crawful.

He is a terrible player and he is now Golden State's problem (LOL why did they trade for him?).

We're entering a new era of Knick basketball. One where multi-dimension players with heart and the mindset of team first get the keys to the city. Not one-dimensional arrogant me-first megalomaniacs. Don't let Craw's nice guy routine fool you, he thinks he's a superstar and he thinks we're all idiots whenever he made his "I'm going to improve" speeches. He's a clown and good riddance.

His latest bit he comes off as reading that we were stupid for cashing him in for a chance at 2010 - as if he was bringing us somewhere - and we won't get any good FAs in 2010 - so we screwed up by dumping the great Jamal Crawford off at a truck stop in Oakland.

Actually, we got the better player in return to be honest. Al may be somewhere between Zach/Craw and in the same mold but he's more team oriented and more efficient and more dynamic than Crawful ever was.

My fellow fans it's time to turn the page and realize what Jamal was: A mediocre chucker who has never won a thing in his basketball career. Be happy he's gone be happy we're looking to replace clowns like him with quality players in the future.

It's a good time to be a Knick fan for a change.

Let the whole Isiah "Younger, Longer, and More Athletic," -- "We're acquiring talented assets through trade." reign of TERROR slip into the night!

Time to let it go, rest assured your what if's can be answered with one big "Nope, they sucked, and would have continued to suck!", and step into the light.
