then there is these highly touted imports from the Far East... i've heard some glowing reports of their upside.

I gotta say, I'm still a huge fan of Josh Duncan, the PF from Xaxier. This guy played great in the NCAA tournament last year and too me he reminds me so much of David West it's not even funny. I think he'd be a great addition and would fit well in MikeD's system - he's got a great jumpshot and he can run the court. I'm probably alone on this one, but I would love to give the kid a chance.

Edit: Although I guess this doesn't fit in the conversation since he's a FA and we could just sign him.

Disabled player exceptions are among the toughest to get. They will have to prove Mobely was hurt before November 30 to get it this year, and he also needs to be out for the year. If the condition was deemed to be pre-existing this could be an extremely difficult argument, possible but difficult.

Therefore I cannot add stackhouse. Dermarr is also an FA so I can't add him as well.

But Don't worry, you're other contributions are extremely appreciated :)

according to another thread posted today we have a 1 mil exception we can use from the Balkman trade... i have no idea if that's legit or not but if it is then we can sign a guy on a veteran's minimum deal.

& my understanding of the exception is that we will have a deadline of next Oct. 1 to use it, but if we get one this year we can still use it this year.

why would portland trade rodriguez for a trade exemption? their owner has more money than cablevision...

They could probably get Maurice Ager and/or Sean Williams from the Nets who are right up against the luxury tax...
