I really like Branden Wright--I think he is mis used. If you believe the Knicks are vying for a championship in 2009 or 2010 then you are out of your gord. He has a cap hold in the 7mm range for 2010. Marcus Williams needs a second chance and can be good in this system. the 2009 we'll be like a late 1st round pick.

How about trading Briggs to RealGM.com for a black and white 8x10 of Beyonce and bag of cheetos to be named later?

Chris Duhon is looking like one hell of a player... he's young, makes good decisions... he fits into what exactly the New York Knicks are trying to do. He could very well end up being this team's best player.

Yeah, Duhon is the last person on this team i want to see traded(not counting the Mayor, who i think might be the only untradable Knick atm)

OK he plays well to 2010--explain to me how the Knicks fiscally keep him--there is going to be 20 teams with cap space--if Duhon plays like he has he might command a higher cap number than 7mm--it would be a case where Chris Duhon would be 1 of our 3 superstars. It's funny to read these replies when people cant think of reality of the salary cap. Wait until 2010 and see what Im talking about in terms of cap hold and or 20 teams who need good players with cap space to burn. Chris Duhon is a UFA in 2010 no9 matter what spin anyone wants to put on it--we cant pay Lee Duhon Harrington 10mm each while the salary cap shrinks because of the economy.

Explain how you keep him after 2010---he is a UFA--everyone will find out--hes a goner--so unless you believe we will win a championship in the next 2--reality will kick in to people who just don't understand the cap.

Mr Earl stirring it up! Hilarious.
BRIGGS is still my favorite poster, easy.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

And BRIGGS makes a good point about needing to pay him in 2010 but I think that would be a good problem to have especially if the team is being run well.

"I'm a MAN, I'm forty!..."

I can understand the trade and salary cap speculation as an entertaining way to pass the time but c'mon...

there is a game going on and Duhon is playing like a man.

I'm inclined to say that Chris Duhon has already proven to be more worthwhile than the trade package you've offered up.

Come'on, BRIGGS, show me where I ever said such a thing or anything remotely close to that....

This is a good point but it is something we will worry about down the road. If he walks, he walks, if we S&T him, that happens too, if we somehow are able to retain him at a reasonable price? Maybe that is what happens. I will say given the NBA and how well Duhon is and will play under Mike I could see a team going out of their way to overpay for him. If they do, starting him at say 9M a year, then yeah I gotta wonder what we're going to do there.

The resolution is certainly NOT to trade him today though!

I was REALLY wrong about Duhon. I now see why he was signed and what he can do in this system. Dare I say I actually enjoy watching him here? Yeah, I do.

I look at things---OK--we have a plan for 2010--but there has to be a strategic way to be able to be able to rebuild the team using a combination of salary restricted players and low cost vets we can acquire or sign. We CANNOT kep what we haev and think about adding Lebron James and Chris Bosh--that is the way I would do it--Duhon is a nice player but I cant pay him 7-9mm either
