As per the Boston Globe

http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/articles/2008/11/30/forecast_is_ok_for_thunder/?page=3
An NBA source claims that the Heat have placed forward Shawn Marion on the block as they struggle out of the gate.

Marion, who is making $17.8 million in the final year of his contract, was rumored to be a trading chip this offseason.

Maybe we can pawn off Curry and Malik for Marion.

They really have no incentive to do this. Curry is fat and injured and wastes salary cap space they could use in 2010.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I mentioned this before but Miami needs to call up Utah and try to get Boozer. Boozer and Matt Harpring for Marion works.

Then Miami could trade Blount and Dequan Cook to NY for Curry.

Miami looks like:

Boozer
Besley
Curry
Wade
And their pg platoon

Pretty awesome plan.....and it opens up a new Miami/Knicks Rivalry.

i would love to bring Marion here but i don't see MIA taking Curry's contract off our hands so easily.

Marion is older and a worse player than Boozer. Why would Utah need Marion for? They already have Kirilenko and trading Boozer would get rid of their only true post presence. Marion is not the same player he used to be and that trade would make no sense at all for Utah.

Marion is a contract at this point. Utah rents Marion to get the cap relief. Milsap is ready to start now and is currently proving it with Boozer hurt. Kirilenko is coming off the bench....Marion is basically the same player I know but its just a rental and it adds depth. IMHO its the perfect move for Utah and Miami.

Utah doesn't need to get under the cap though. They already are over with just Deron, Okur, and Kirlenko. There wouldn't be much of a purpose in that trade. I think it would be smart for them to keep the team the way it is because it's pretty damn good team.

boozer has a hse in miami. supposedly he's gonna opt out after this yr and sign w/miami. we'll see. there also trying to be under the cap for 2010.

we could see something like:

wade

boozer

beasley

lbj

??? whoever else in 2010 for miami.

Well look at this kid Kosta Koufos. He looks like he could replace Okur in the near future...he also proved that when Okur was taking care of family business earlier in the month. It may be a fantasy basketball way of running a team but I would rather move guys up that are ready to play and move the older vets on for more assets. With players like Kosta and Milsap, Utah wouldn't miss a beat.

definitely... i like D Lee but let's be honest Marion is a better player on both ends of the floor... dumping Curry's contract would be huge & we could then re-sign Marion to an extension & still have cap space in 2010 to attract a franchise stud & another player.
