Crawford is saying that the brass should have taken care of Marbury before the season started? How could they, when they still had Crawford and Zach's contracts on the books?? There was no guarantee that Donnie could get rid of some big contracts here to make cap space for the sweepstakes that take place after next season, so how could he say that.

And Crawford makes this assumption now that he's with another team. We fans have got to get together and support our brass and the players who really want to win here. Damn! Even Lebron James believes in us, so I think some of us criticizing Donnie and D'Antoni for 'not handling this right is just wrong'!

So Crawford 'and' Barkley can both STFU!

I'm saying that Donnie and D'Antoni never had a choice here and the way D'Antoni went about it was necessary. And Donnie fining him and now negotiating a buyout is what it's going to take to get rid of this guy.

I'm asking each and every Knick fan to support our brass. They have brought us more in the last several months, then Layden and Isiah brought us in the last several years. Back the brass up! They have no choice and went about all of this the best way they could. It's working, because now Marbury wants out.

Once he's gone, we can FINALLY' move on! Think about that.

"Honestly, everybody there thought it would be handled before the season started, one way or the other," Crawford told the San Francisco Chronicle last night before facing the Cavs. "And now it's continuing to go [on]. It needs to be resolved one way or the other, for sure. It wasn't really a distraction because we were winning, you know what I mean? We've had distractions in the past, so to us, that wasn't like a real distraction. Steph remained professional. He never blew up at the team."

Jamal said nothing wrong. Relax.

I'm merely saying that Crawford is wrong. Donnie and D'Antoni are doing the right thing.

Plus why in the world would Jamal say anything about the BOOKS? The players dont think like that. Even Mike D. had no clue those guys would be traded.
D'Antoni admitted he could have erred by banishing Marbury at the season's start, not anticipating Walsh was looking to shake up the roster by trading long-term contracts such as the one given Jamal CrawfordJamal Crawford , who returns tonight with the Warriors.

"We tried to make best decision at the time," D'Antoni said. "Whether it works out or not wouldn't be the first time things didn't work out."

You, I, the whole world knows exactly what was going to happen anyway. None of us can argue with that. It was going to be ugly no matter what' anyone said or did. This whole notion that Donnie and D'Antoni went about this the wrong way is rediculous.

I blame Walsh and Dolan more than D'Antoni. It was obvious D'Antoni didn't want any parts of Marbury. He should have been told to stay home, Tinsley style, until something was worked out.

Marb has and always was quitter. He puts himself and his own selfish agenda ahead of his teammates. He's the last torn page of the horrid chapter in Knick history and should have been torn out out and burned before the season began. But Walsh, I imaginged, was hopeful to get some value out of Marb with some playing time while D'Antoni had other plans.

We have brand new management who's been good for us so far and a guy who's been a headache for years, who's out the door one way or another.

Who do you want to invest in? Who do you think will be here longer?

Support that brass, forget Marbury and look to the future and attack anyone who tries to under mind what our brass is trying to do.

How can anyone ignore things that are being said in the newspapers. It has to be countered by sticking up for what's best for us and it ain't Marbury.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I'll trust the guy who was in the locker room everyday and saw it first hand over someone on their couch watching from a distance.

The irony now is that after all these years of mistreating coaches, staff members and teammates, Marbury is feeling victimized. I never agreed with Mike D'Antoni's original decision to bench Marbury. As long as he was under contract and healthy he should have been playing. The Knicks told Marbury over the summer to get in the best shape of his career and have a good training camp. Marbury did both, only to be buried on the bench.

D'Antoni, having witnessed Marbury's antics firsthand as an assistant coach in Phoenix, obviously didn't want him around. He also was assured by the Knicks that Marbury would be gone before the start of the season. When that didn't happen, D'Antoni removed Marbury himself.

The Knicks are not blameless here. D'Antoni complicated matters by publicly embarrassing Marbury, only to later offer him the chance to play. And team president Donnie Walsh failed to anticipate the media firestorm and to address it in a timely matter.

A few weeks ago, Walsh hinted that he didn't understand why Marbury wasn't playing, which suggested that he and D'Antoni were not on the same page. At the very least, they didn't have a plan going into the season on how to handle a situation that has spiraled out of control and has embarrassed an organization that is supposed to be moving forward.

Walsh should have acted last week when Marbury refused to play against the Milwaukee Bucks. Instead, the Knicks did nothing, and Marbury burned them twice in six days.

Jamal was actually with the team everyday and knows both parties. Yet fans think they know more about the Knicks situation by reading newspapers from the media than Jamal?

I believe he is a commentator on TNT, although his official position may be "Sports Analyst".

We'll see if you are still whistling the same tune after Marbury doesn't accept Walsh's buyout settlement. This tuesday could turn into next Tuesday.........a month from Tuesday.......
