Anyway to let us see which threads we've posted in? It's a pretty common forum feature.

Sometimes I have a hard time remembering exactly where I was fighting with oohah.

Can we get Bip on this ASAP?

can you share a site that does this? I'd like to see how they implemented.... unless it's just something in your profile section that keeps a list of what you just posted in.

I'd like this too. Maybe threads posted in the last 10 days? Usually what happens is I post snarky and unhelpful comments in several threads, then come back later to see who I might have annoyed. It would help if I had a list to help me get back to those threads.

... And I think that's the way to do it - a page or section of the user's profile showing all threads posted in the last 10 days (or whatever).

Martin, I have a hard time thinking of a forum that doesn't do this. Something to do with cookies, I'm sure. But when you view the forum itself each thread you posted in gets an indicator, be it a change of color, or a dot, or something like that.

Maybe the best bet would be to download some open source forum software and see what they say?

Some even let you bookmark or subscribe to threads so you can find assigned threads from a central location. But most important for me would be that visual indicator while viewing the forum itself.

This forum has a really neat feature. Under each thread is automatically lists 5 or 6 similarly titled threads. So if someone were viewing a recent thread titled "Marbury's Head is sooo big," at the bottom of the page threads who's titles also contain Marbury, head, big, etc would be linked.

Says it's powered by vBulletin

UK already has a feature that lists all the Marbury threads.

It's called "NY Knicks Forum".

What I've seen is sites that have a page in your profile that says something like "threads participated in". I think this has the advantage of being fairly easy to implement - Martin and Andrew just need to query the database for all posts by BlueSeats, possibly limiting the query in some way - say, to the past two weeks or the last 50 threads. Then add a page to each users profile where this list is displayed.

Optionally, they could let other users see your participated threads page as well -- in case they are fans.

This is tougher than I thought. May take me longer than expected. I will get back to everyone on my progress.
