Trying to clear cap space, great idea. Holding out for a particular player or players for 2 years....crazy. Anything can happen in those 2 years. Sure the 2010 free agent class will be loaded but I am into the here and now and no one will want to come here if we still stink in 2010.....so let's do the here and now.

I think the here and now is ok. The players we have right now should be able contend for a playoff spot. You have to give the 3 new players time to get acclaimated with D'Antoni's sytem.

We need to raise Curry's value and that will be a difficult task.

TRUE.. the 3 players are veteran players with playoffs experience. They fit very well in D'antoni's system.

Al Harrington, Tim Thomas, and Cutino Mobley are collectively better than Zach Randolph, Jamal Crawford, and Mardy Collins. Zach is a loser, as is Jamal. Name ONE team they have ever WON with. Just ONE. If they are such all star talents we should've held onto to "save our next two seasons", why were we not even being considered to be close to the playoffs in the offseason?

They play well for 2 weeks in D'Antoni's system and all of the sudden we just traded away our "present for the future." Just ridiculous.

Pretty annoying to watch, but get ready for it to happen with Curry and Jeffries before the deadline.

At least we have a coach who can get their values up in the first place.

Randolph won't be able to be replaced quickly, but Thomas will have to try.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

here is the here & now: we stink... deal with it, not much else is gonna change for another 2 years... anyone who wants this team to go back to making idiotic starphuch trades to get better at any cost just to sneak into the playoffs is a glutton for punishment... if there are any players w/contracts that expire before 2010 you're interested in, feel free to come up w/a few ideas... otherwise the only focus we should be having right now is dumping Curry's contract & scouting carefully the prospects in this year's draft, cuz we're likely gonna be in a position to get a good one this year.

The only contract past 2010 that I would bring would be of a rookie or sophomore Center right now in the league. As of now we aren't so bad in terms of good young players with Chandler, DLee, Nate and Danilo. But we need a prospect C desperately. It could happen in this year's draft or with a deal at the deadline, but the soon we can bring him the better for our big plan.

right now the one guy i can think of that might be a help to this team right now that makes any sense is someone like Jermaine O'Neal... he's got those ties to Donnie Walsh, he plays C, he blocks shots & he's got a contract that expires before 2010... he's not really a good fit for this uptempo style but he would certainly be an upgrade over any of our current options at the position... i don't see TOR dealing him tho unless they get the feeling that Bosh is just going to bolt in 2010 anyway... they got him there to try & compete now while they still have Bosh.
