Thomas saved his most caustic comments for Martin, repeatedly calling him "fugazy" -- a slang term for fake used in the mafia movie "Donnie Brasco."

"Just knowing his character, he's a fugazy guy. I read a comment that Jason Richardson said nobody wants to mess with a pit bull, but I've never seen a pit bull who picks and chooses who he wants to bite," Thomas said.

"He's fugazy as far as the whole tough guy role. You get techs and you get fines and that makes you tough? Because your game is wild and crazy, that makes you tough? When a scuffle breaks out, you have 13 guys that can protect you. When it's you and someone else, what happens then?

"Somebody call Don King and hook it up for us."

Nobody wants to re-live fugazy? I'm saddened.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

they didn't have any other contracts that matched up that expired before 2010 except for Camby & the Clips weren't willing to deal him... for them to make the dollars match they woulda had to include a buncha smaller deals & we wouldn't have had the roster space to fit those guys anyways.

I think Fugazy will actually be good in this system. As long as he still has his legs, then he should be fine.

Its ironic that the guys that do the most talking are the ones that bring less game. He called Martin fugazy but only he is remembered by that name...

Fugazy was hated b/c he was pivotal to our hopes back then. He was option one outside of Marbury and too soft to fill that role. And then he basically tanked it the next season after all the personal tragedies he had to deal with. While I can't blame him for the latter- having had what happened in the playoffs set the tone for the next season didn't earn him as much sympathy as he might've otherwise demanded.

i hated him cuz he literally coasted on the floor night in & night out... the guy just wasn't hustling out there... much of the same type of frustration that people have w/Eddy Curry is what i saw in Tiny Tim.

We'll just have to suck it up for until his contract expires or he gets himself bought out early for bad behavior. Either way is fine. I didn't want him here, but I can look past it for now, considering the team is finally making the logical moves.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

What I hated was that he actually played well for PHX and I was like where the heck was that when we needed him to hit some shots? I have no real hard feelings cuz I never really loved his game that much to begin with. I do think he has wasted his talent, like a lot of guys. He had the physical talents, but not the heart to play up to his abilities. He'll probably be pretty decent under MDA tho.

In Phoenix, he was just playing hard for a contract.

There's always gonna be a guy or two that you hate on the team. Just so long as you don't hate all of 'em.

Right..I really loved this guys potential from day 1 in the league right up until he left NY. At which point I realize he was and still is a soft ass big man. He's like the WR that played for the eagles TODD PINKSTON scared to death of contact. He should have a little success( any athletic jump shooter would)in this system. He will also benefit from a PG like duhon.

He appeared to have a world of talent when he was drafted but when he went to Philly he never developed into what he appeared he should have been. It is interesting that he was traded for KVH twice but KVH was always the better player until the end of his career. He is still relevant because he is so versatile, has size, is healthy,. and is still very confident in his abilities.

Confident he will be able to get out of peoples way( on the opposing team) who want to shoot layups, and jump shots. I think this guy apologizes every time he fouls somebody..
