If we can get Jefferies back and he stays healthy, then all I'd want him to do is play defense and nothing else. Make him the 5, and you're looking at:

Jefferies
Harrington
Chandler
Mobley
Duhon

There's no go to scorer there, but some of those guys can carry the load and they all D' up a little, so we can definitely make some noise. Bring in this solid bench:

Nate
Q
Lee
Thomas

That's really pretty good and pretty balanced. I can see it working this season. It may keep us from getting a good draft pick, which sucks, but hey, I want a winning team too for once, and we're not the greatest of drafters to begin with.

I think we make the playoffs too, and I think Nate can be the go to end of game scorer also

at this point i think D Lee is a much better option as our starting C than Fishlips... the guy should only be seeing minimal minutes off the bench even at top health & that's not even considering the fact he hasn't played w/these guys since training camp... it's gonna take a while for him to work himself back into 6 & 5 shape.

It depends on how you look at it. Do you need some defense or length or do you need rebounding and a little bit of offense? Personally, I go with defense, but if it doesn't work out and we desperately need rebounders, then i'd go with Lee.

i'd start Fugazy over Jefferies even... at least the guy can score too... as a starter i'm projecting Jefferies will give u maybe 8 points & 7 rebounds at the most, that is if he can stay out of foul trouble long enough to average 30+ minutes a night... ur looking at a severe offensive liability when it comes to Jefferies as a starter, & while i agree that D Lee & Fugazy are liabilities on defense, they are both still much more well rounded players overall & a better fit for the system that MDA likes to run... for Lee's part he's had more time w/the rest of these guys than either of them, so to me he makes the most sense.

We have a PG who can distribute, drive a tad and hit the open J, and 3 guys who can score on their own when needed (Mobley, Harrington, Chandler.) Jefferies is fine in the starting lineup. Not everybody has to be able to score.

But yes, when it's getting bad, then make Lee the starter, but that's purely for rebounding. Jefferies can hold his own on rebounding though.

We gotta see how well will Jeffries perform before we make him the starting Center. Meanwhile I'd go with Lee who has really performed well in that spot and if we need D at the end of the game then go with Jeffries.
