We have one pick we give away, but we still have ours this year. I think we are looking at a top 5 with playing the ute.

Gallo is a big dissapointment cuz he was going to get plenty of run this year and DEVELOPE.

If we don't get all our starphuch dream players, as long as we develop players and not blow our cap we can get sign and trade possibilities and/or use the cap the next year.

We are not winning a championship in 2010 even with Lebron.

Who comes out in 2011 that we could save cap for. 2010 could still be a playoff year, and exciting year, but our ute could be the ones who fill out the roster, CP3 might be available, and they you have your end of career guns for hire that might want a shot of a ring, and the experience of living in NY for a year or two.

If we have room for maybe two big players in 2010, if donnie or his successor is cool, won't we have cap the next year? And who is available?

Dolan should have given the OK to rebuild right after Patrick...Layden was clearly incapable but we should have begun then...But I'm cool with developing players into 2010 and beyond...The things is we don't really have a star type that can play with those guys should things really pan out...Fans can stomach a few bad years after a nice run in the 90s...

I will play optimistic and hope Gallinari can come back at some point of the season (after the All-Star break?) and get his rookie season going. He is a huge piece of this team and if the team and the doctors decided that rest should take care of everything then he SHOULD be able to return at some point. We need to see what we got there, and now more than ever.

About the state of the team for 2010, it will be interesting what moves does Donnie have left for this season. Right now we have the Marbury situation and who knows what will happen there. Donnie has tried hard to trade him and get something out of him and while it may be a long shot, he has the right to and could get something done. Thats why I think Marbury shouldn't be just bought out before every scenario is worked out. If it takes up to the trading deadline, so be it.

Curry is another topic and I think the way things worked out yesterday, he could be gone too this season once he is healthy. Donnie is a patient man but he knows the Knicks don't have much time to build an interesting team for possible free agents so if he gets a solid deal he will just do it. Now, next moves have to bring us more assets we can work out. Picks and young players are vital for a rebuilding team and we got none of that in yesterday's moves. Thats fine, but it should be a priority for the next moves we make, especially if we have to include a guy like David Lee.

The plan has been put in motion and now we have the cap space to make a run at some free agents. Now comes maybe the hardest part: using the remaining assets to get some young talent to build a team that interests free agents. Whether is for the 2010 class or the 2011.

IT has been apparent that Gallo was to get minutes no matter what and develope him right away. Yes, lets hope this can come true.

The jury is long out on him but Chandler is getting big minutes, as is the whole priority to play the utes. Shelving Eddie and Marbury is huge shift for the last 8 years.

whats done is done. These are the days we lay the foundation for a future. Rebuilding sucks, but its gotta be.

I would love to get CP3. I think he's one of the top 5 players in the L.

the biggest names in 2011 are Kobe Bryant, Yao Ming, Tony Parker, Andrei Kirilenko, Caron Butler, Michael Redd & Richard Jefferson... i wouldn't count on Kobe being available cuz he'll likely excercise his opt out so he can sign an extension after this season.

btw, Chris Paul is not a FA in 2011, he already signed a 3 year extension to stay in NO w/a player option in the 4th year this past July, which means he won't be a FA until 2012 at the earliest.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
