There is going to be more focus and attention on Gallo now that our "cupboard is bare" so to speak. Posters are right, we do need attractive pieces to lure superstars here so they dont feel they are on their own, and it starts with the Italian Stallion. He cant be a bust.

Another thing...Yo David Lee is a straight bytch and I officially hate him now. Just humor me for a a second and think about this: What if Lee didnt pull that hoe move and block that trade? Imagine if we had Mayo right now...could you imagine this team?

Lebron + Bosh + Mayo + Chandler + 2009 draft pick...thats a 70 win team bro.

Call it vindictiveness or whatever, but Lee needs to dip. He's not even any good anyway. He blocks us from drafting a superstar and he has the nerve to bytch up and play like trash. Weak.

this team needs to tank & we need to nab a top prospect in this year's draft.

I forgot the Red Rooster was on the team. I rather work on Chandler right now than hoping some kid with a bionic back pans out. Maybe be next year. Until then Gallo is just the kid that likes to fold his hands at the end of the bench for now.

We need to start seeing something from him around 2009. He doesnt have to start balling tomorrow, but he just cant be a complete bust.

word, i agree. we need to trade Lee while we still can for an extra pick or to dump Curry's bloated contract... hopefully both.

Donnie's on a mission man... i personally think D Lee gets traded by the Allstar break, especially if Harrington & Fugazy are both playing solid ball at that point.

I don't see Lee going anyhwere now. I think we get to the point where we can re-sign Lee and Nate and still bring in the FA's.

why re-sign Lee tho? He's a poor defender and he's not a well rounded offensive player, but he wants to get paid like a star. I think there are plenty of better alternatives.

And the most important point is --- I hate him.

can't sign 2 bigname FA's & still bring back both Lee & Nate unless we dump both Curry & Fishlips' contracts & Lee & Nate sign for reasonable deals... i think 1 of those guys is gonna be traded.

I think they dump Curry and JJ2's deals without moving either Lee or Nate.

Lee is a good supporting piece to have when you're talking about bringing in a couple of superstars.

i think they'd be better off trading Lee for a draft pick & picking up a guy who plays on both ends of the floor... i like Lee but his shortcomings are obvious & we can always find a rebounder w/a good team ethic in any draft... IMO guys like Nate are harder to replace cuz u rarely ever see a guy w/that type of motor who also has the skills that Nate has... to me even if they can dump Curry & JJ2's deals, i'd still like to trade Lee for a pick this year.

Depends on what kind of draft pick/contract you get back. I wouldn't actively be shopping him to get rid of Curry. Still plenty of time to be patient.

we almost got the #5 overall last offseason, i think it's reasonable to expect at least a pick in the 10-15 range regardless of how he plays from now til the trade deadline.
