I've been a supporter of Curry because I think his potential[and actual physical production] was not reached at 20-7 nearly 60% a little over ONE that is 1 year ago. This guy was unstoppable at many points offensively and was able to play 40 minutes a game with no problems. I really thought that Lee and Curry had a great synergy together and believed that we could really have something there with the 24 Curry and 23 year old Lee. We trade for Zach and since then Curry mentally has been in a down spin for 15 months. I think he has lost all confidence--he doesnt care and that is a darn shame man because the guy isnt even 26 yet. We cannot give up on Curry--we may have to bring in a big man coach who will work 1-1 with him a for two months while they oversee his conditioning. Curry has to realize that making 10mm+ is an honor and he should make every attempt at trying his best--not this half arsed effort. If he really still has some kind of issue with his heart--then retire.

Wow a member that actually wants to keep Curry. Even though he is still young I think that if he hasnt got it down by now, in terms of at least coming to camp in shape, he never will. Plus he isnt all that good of rebounder, defender anyway, Hopefully we can get rid of Zbo and showcase Curry for a little, maybe someone will bite. Curry cant be in our future plans.

Curry is mentally fat.

There is no use talking about him anymore. He's proven over his career to be lazy and uninspired and to have weight problems. It's not changing. You saw the best of Eddy Curry when coddled by Isiah on his way to a 19/7 season (should have traded him that summer, probably could have!)

No, if he was mentally fat, he'd known from the get-go he was physically fat and do everything to not be physically fat.

The guy is a mess. The trades, Having Larry, then Isiah on him, Zach, and his home invasion messed him up. This guy is not a basketball player. This guy does not have the mind-body connection to be a pro athlete. His DNA does not have it. Its ok, call it a lot of things, but he is who he is. The system sucked him in and gave him millions. He can play, he could do it, but its just not in him.

i think it is frustrating because all of us know what he is capable of. his natural talent is rare for a player his size but he has no passion when he is out there. that one year when thomas fed the ball to him all the time, at one point he scored effortlessly with no one stopping him. he even played dwight howard to a standstill. funny what two years can do. now he is heading towards being a bench player which is a waste. ever since his house was robbed, it seems he lack the passion. maybe that traumatic event was too much for him to handle.

Curry is soft

Nate is short
Q has a bad back
Crawford is streaky
Marbury is insane
Jerome is worthless
Malik is marginal
Zach has issues with the law, coaches and often teammates
Feddie Wies wasn't NBA ready
Sweeteny was fat
Isiah will have a heard time finding another GM position

All interesting, creative and unique topics for future threads

Since the Knicks are rebuilding D'Antoni should work Curry hard in practice. You want him shape then make him work hard. Make sure he doesn't get off the floor at any given time in practice.

If the deals go through today, Im sure D'Antoni of any other Knicks personnel will push Curry even more to get in shape and return. The article today said they did already, so we could see Curry soon playing again.

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but what (if anything) does Crawford's departure mean for Marbury? This is an easy way for the Knicks to welcome him back with open arms without anyone going back on their word/looking foolish...

Yes it has been mentioned but no, the deal doesn't have to mean Marbury is back and he will surely not be back. If both Warriors and Clippers deal happen we will be fine at Guards. As of now, with the Warriors trade we could just start Q and have a Duhon-Q-Nate guard rotation.

I think you get the doctor to examine the guy and when he is cleared to play you run him into the ground every practice until he collapses and throws up. And then you do it again and again till he is in game shape.

i knew he'd regress when we traded for Zach but never thought he'd just completely give up on his desire to play again... the guy's a waste of talent & ability.
