Trade EISLEY, WARD, KNIGHT & DOLEAC to the NETS for MUTOMBO !! It works !! JERSEY will do it because they have 4 centers now, in this deal they can get cap room immediately with WARD & KNIGHT !! Next year DOLEAC comes off the books and that only leaves EISLEY & they need a backup PG anyway !! We get MUTOMBO with 2yrs left on his contract ( yes its big ) but i would rather have his big contract than EISLEY'S !!! We can sign ROD STRICKLAND to a 1yr minimum deal so MILOS can come over next year ( WILLIAMS gets experience now ). KT becomes expendable in a package with SPOON or ANDERSON. MUTOMBO is out anchor in the middle !! Suddenly KVH & H2O's defense gets a big boost !! C=MUTOMBO / PF=LAMPE / SF=KVH / SG=HOUSTON / PG=STRICKLAND and a bench of C=KT / PF=SWEETNEY / SF=??? / SG=ANDERSON / PG=WILLIAMS ( KT can hold down the 2nd unit ) !! Our starting front line is 7'0 / 7'0 / 6'10 !! DAMN !!!

Damn i forgot about MCDYESS !!! Thats a huge bonus if he is healthy !!! We could slide LAMPE to the SF spot on the 2nd unit & let MCDYESS start at PF !!

Why wouldn't they just keep Motumbo and sign Strickland themselves to backup Kidd?

Plus...what would immediate cap room really give them? Nothing...they will just wait 2 years and get all of Motumbos cap space when his contract is up. NJ needs Motumbo to help them deal with the West's big men in the finals anyway.

Yeah, KG is a free agent this year, and you think he is leaving the Wolves after they threw out all this cash and traded to land Spree, Cassell, and Kandi - I think not. That team is going to be serious next year, they were good before but with Kandi, KG, Wally, Spree, and Cassell they will be a force - imagine all those players in NY uniforms and this board would be salivating at the prospect of next season.

I would do that trade in a millisecond, to get rid of eisley is always a plus...

Actually the KNicks aren't that far from the wolves. If you think about it. This team just needs Dice in a bad way. A healthy Dice in there and the KNicks are right up there with the wolves.

bench players? I hope you're not talking about Spoon, Harrington and Knight. Lampe/Sweetney? Guys have potential, but hasn't proved anything. KG would be one of the best players that the knicks ever had - top 5 for sure.

Vmart - maybe on paper the Knicks look close but reality says they are not. First of all comparing KG to Dice is rediculous. You are comparing KG to someone who was good a couple years ago before the injuries - he may come back but as of today he is damaged goods. You are also saying that KT is equal to Kandi - I disagree. Kandi isnt a dominant center but he has some decent size and he can play ball. KT is way out of position and the wear and tear on him will soon become pretty obvious if it hasnt already. Houston vs Spree...well I am not going to comment ont hat until these 2 play eachother this season..but I wouldnt give the edge to houston so fast - I would compare houston and wally before I would compare houston and spree.

Bottom line, I would take the Wolves lineup with KG in it over this current Knicks lineup any day.
