"Jared Jeffries could be practicing in a week and back in the rotation soon. Jeffries received a positive report after his latest X-ray on Friday and said he expected to start running within days. Jeffries broke his left leg on the third day of training camp. “I need to get another X-ray, and if it’s still healing the same way it is, with no pain the way it has been, then I should be good to go,” Jeffries said. ..."

We know he is no savior but we don't need that. We just need a big body that can bring defense to this team. He will surely do that. Yes, we know he isn't good offensively, but for some reason D'Antoni wanted him to be his center for the season.

Let him come back and play a game, please!

Malik was the only one who stood his ground vs Powe. David Lee made Powe look like Wilt.

Don't even get me started. Malik is the only player that I have seen do a spin move and fall out of bounce. He also the first player I have ever seen head fake himself out to cause a traveling violation.

I was half-joking. I do think that Jeffries can help us because he would probably be our best frontcourt defender. I just thought it funny that we were in the same situation last year saying things will be get better once he comes back.

I'm shocked (not really) that some haven't learned to be more open minded with MDA's decisions.
The guy knows what he's doing. We didn't use Jared this way and given his strengths and weaknesses I think he
Could be good.

Yep. LOL.

Why?

Cause Malik Rose is godawful. Other than that, yeah, Jeffries isn't a very good player and isn't the answer to any big problem but I do wonder what he can do in this system.

Being a starting Center though as many have him penciled in as? My god, how is that going to work? He's what 220 pounds? He'll be on the IR about 3 games into his stint!

Wow, alot of drama over a back-up center playing basketball on a maybe .500 ball club. I think you can be certain that if he's going to start, he's going to have to earn it. Certainly, you can't argue that his return will make our already thin bench a little deeper.
