I would say the cost would be

Eric Gordon Deandre Jordan a 2009#1 pick and whatever contracts that expire in 2009.

This has been said forever but, do you have a link so we can read the article that says they are interested again?

The price has definitely gone up, which we should DEFINITELY take advantage of.

Now, I wonder if we wait for the trading deadline, where its possible we get a great package for him.

Curry, hurry and get in shape so we can trade you too!

I'm totally against Randolph for Kaman. I suppose we could use a center, but this team could use a lot of things, and any night either Randolph or Crawford is the team's best player. Randolph is better than Kaman. I'm not willing to take the chance that Crawford is at that point to be the Knicks best player every night.

Not interested in Kaman--Gordon Jordan whatever contracts expire by 2009 of their choice and an unrestricted 2009 #1. That is the exact price the Mavs paid for J Kidd and right now I would say Zach is an all star level interior impact player in the nBA who has proven to be coachable and in his prime age wise --the cost has to be high or we cant do it.

Agreed Briggs we should really extract a high price for Zach but i think we should wait for the offseason to get a better look at what this team can do and have a better idea on the holes we need to plug.

Why for Knicks?

Gives us a man sized front court, a shot blocker, 2 elite rebounders & eases the salary committment in the summer of '10 by 6.5mm.

C: Kaman/Lee/Lips
PF: Camby/Lee/Chandler
SF: Q/Chandler
SG: Craw/Cat
PG: Duhon/Nate

Why for Clips?

Gives them a Center w/ low post ability, just not one with a 4 year committment. Gives them a scoring PF to replace Brand. Deal saves them about $10mm. Throw in Collins if that helps.

C: Curry
PF: Zach
SF: Thornton
SG: Gordon
PG: Baron

There is a fine line. Once a team acquires a high draft pick--they tend to fall in love with it. I think there is a very reasonable chance with Zach or without Zach that the Clippers will have a high lottery pick and giving up Zach will mean so will we. That package would give us two very high picks in what will be a great draft Eric Gordon and Deandre Jordan---I think I would pull the trigger now on that.

Its at Hoopshype.com

It looks like we will have to do a 3 team trade because they want to unload Kaman. I don't think they want both Kaman & Randolph's contracts. They are looking to pair up Bdiddy, Zebo & Camby or something.

These are 2 trades that have popped up in my head.

NYK trades Randolph gets Marion
Clips trade Kaman gets Randolph
Miami trades Marion gets Kaman

NYK trades Randolph gets Rasheed and 2010 draft pick
Clips trade Kaman get Randolph
Pistons trade Wallace & 2010 draft pick get Kaman

Also that would pave the way to get Curry back in and hopefully get him back to the 2006 Curry of 20-7 60%. Cant do that with Zach here--already proven not to work.

Has DeAndre Jordan shown anything (even in college) to make us think he isn't Yinka Dare, US version?

I thought he was very impressive in the NBA summer leagues--I think he has a lot of potential

Perhaps I am labeling Jordan too early, but it strikes me that the organization is making a concerted effort to get away from lazy, unskilled, low IQ players (Curry being the poster child for that).

I'd do this trade.

The Clippers are not gonna give us all their youth though.

Eric Gordon, Cutino Mobley and Tim Thomas works under the cap. Mobley and Thomas expire in 2010 and D'Antoni likes Thomas.

Buy out Mobley and he can re-sign with the Clips.

No go right ahead and explain Jordan skills. It's not like his last name is Gallinari. The hyprocrisy of it all.
